At first glance, this protective case gets everything right: hard shell, precision-cut interior, and thoughtful storage for filters, cards, and little odds and ends. The orange color is a bonus, easier to spot in a packed bag or a messy car.This hardshell case holds the DJI Osmo Pocket 3 securely without forcing you to disassemble every attachment. The case is durable, and the molded shape won’t collapse under pressure if you’re stacking gear in a backpack.However, there are inexplicable flaws in this design. First, when you try to open the case, the snap closure is way too difficult to undo. It got slightly easier to open after a bit of breaking in, but there's no reason for it to be so impenetrable. Once I practically pried it open, I was delighted to see space for my extra lenses. But one of the three places to put lenses is useless if you want to close the box with your camera inside.If you can live with those flaws, and if you treat your Pocket 3 like an expensive lens (which you should), this case gives it real protection without adding much weight or bulk.
