My wife is ethnic Chinese (Taiwanese) and I try to make a variety of foods of different countries and cultures. We had some really awesome Cantonese claypot many years ago and it was one of the things I wanted to eventually try myself.I bought this claypot from Amazon out of convenience as I wasn't satisfied with the sizes available and the cost at the local Chinese markets. This claypot so far has served me well. Please note that you'll need to properly season it. Look on YT and ye will find a number of different ways to do it. Like a cast iron pan, I fried an onion in mine while others recommend making congee. Anyways, I've made 3 different kinds from recipes again found on YT. It's actually pretty easy once you understand the methodology and especially how much water to rice you should use and how long to cook it.Overall, 5 stars. I just hope it doesn't crack :)

Again a very good find on vine - and the perfect size for a clay-pot chicken or biryani dish for small family.First impression upon opening the box was great. Item was very nicely packed in layers of plastic, cardboard and foam paper with the lid packed securely with the body. There is even a bonus wire rack included (about 8" round) which is not shown in images or mentioned in product descriptionNote that the pot is glazed only on the inside and lid is glazed partly but only on outsideSometimes these hand made items are not as shown on Amazon but happy to say that this item is just as shown and has no imperfections or blemishes.Already looking forward to some great weekend cooking with this pot

This bowl is very large. It can be used for a serving for one and maybe up to three. I have used it for a casserole for two and it came out bubbly, hot and stayed warm. It cooked evenly and is high quality so will last a long time. It can be used in the oven or the microwave. It is also very pretty.I only got one, but I think I will be making it a pair by ordering a second one.
