My cat got spayed and she did just fine with the donut on. She started using it as her pillow while it was on her. Obviously she'd prefer to not have it on, but she was still ok with the donut on. It works well and she wasn't able to reach her surgical area. The only issue I had was when she tried to drink water or eat food it would end up rubbing on the donut. Nothing a quick wash can't fix. Another issue was that sometimes she would manage to escape from it, but i added a small reversible knot to the drawstring to prevent that.Overall worked as advertised.

I have a Simese cat and used this for his surgery for neutering. He was still able to get the donut off but it worked well enough to get us through.
Product is good

It’s cute and all but my cat kept taking it off after her surgery so we had to go with an old one we had . I believe the size was a lil too big I just wanted her to have room I didn’t want to go smaller .

So my cat got in a scuffle with another cat a while back, and for about a week she's had to wear a cone whilst the wound heals. The cone was an nightmare for her as whilst it certainly kept her from licking it also kept her from doing most of her activities as it blocked her vision and made her bump into things. So I picked up one of these and couldn't be happier with the results! Outside of her looking a bit goofier than usual the donut keeps her from reopening her injuries whilst also letting her retain most of her mobility and senses

It seemed like it was easier for the cat to eat, drink and use the litter box than a traditional cone of shame while wearing it.And she couldn't get out of it at all!She didn't seem to mind it after first 24 hours either.I was really impressed! Though it should come with a warning that you will start craving donuts every time you look at your cat while they are wearing it. 😹

In almost two decades of keeping a dog or cat, I have not yet had to use one of those cones to prevent them from licking sores before quite healed. But it seems a good thing to have on hand just in case it ever should be needed. How patient my cat will prove if she ever needs to wear this for any extended interval, I hope never to have to find out; but, although not one who has ever suffered "dressing up" at my hands, she let me slip this one on with no argument, just to make sure of its fit. It certainly looks and feels as if it would be much more comfortable than a cone, not interfere with its wearer's view of the world, and the pet MIGHT even be able to reach her food and water bowls while wearing it, which is a Good Thing for cats who prefer eating in snacks to gobbling meals up all at once. I plan to keep this in view in case it's ever needed.
