This mat is not worth it. It's made with cheap material that even after weeks never flattened out properly. My cat hates it and started going on the bathroom floor because he wouldn't walk across the mat to get to his litterbox. I don't blame him, the holes are massive and it does not feel good under foot for me either. It does not look like the picture in the description and feels like it's made out of some kind of cheap foam. It doesn't collect litter well, and it's just not a useful item.

I'm a regular user of this type of mat and I like them for their ability to trap litter from kitty feet before it tracks all over the floor. It's got 1 open end, like a pocket so you can pick It up and dump the contents back into the box or in the trash. It's quite effective at keeping litter tracking to a minimum. This mat arrived with some strong off gassing that took some time to air out. It's a is a nice size at 26x19 however it arrived folded and took a bit of effort to get it flat enough to use. I tried a hair dryer and then rolling it in different directions to get the bends to flatten. I never got it perfectly flat. Overall with some efforts to flatten it, it works as designed. There are many of these mats available so when I need a new one I will probably choose another brand with a material that's easier to work with.

Nice catcher of litter from paws. Needs better instructions on how to flatten from shipping. Good product

This mat is pretty durable feeling. I love the idea for what they did here for catching liter as your cat comes out of the liter box. One thing to note is that it comes delivered folded in 4ths, and that makes it really hard to straighten out with this kind of material. I had something heavy sitting on top of it the first day to try and flatten it out but it still sort of bulges in the middle. It's also kind of awkward emptying it out. When you try to open it up it doesn't open all the way, you have to fiddle with it and that made me end up spilling some little on the floor. If they could of put some kind of string on the bottom that would help a lot. Might end up just sewing my own on there. And Although I like it, my cat's curiosity is making me wonder if it's indeed just her curiosity or if she doesn't like the feeling of the mat itself. She sprawls out as much as she can as to try and not touch it when getting in. Then when she gets out, she jumps over the whole mat itself and get's litter everywhere else. It's a cool concept and other cats might not be as picky as mine.

I'll update this later if I have more to add about cleaning that isn't implied/covered below, but I wanted to go ahead and review my important first impressions after a few days of use, and several days of fixing the bad packaging effects. This arrived folded several times. The material is partially a foam, and did not handle this packaging well. It was bent. Too bent. I placed it under moderate weight for several days (3-4, forget the exact number) and it flattened enough to bother trying the product. So, you may be able to flatten it, but your weather and the time in shipping etc. might affect if you can truly change it. For me, my litterbox is simple and not that large, so it would have prevented the product from working right if it didn't flatten.I'm using it under a litterbox filled with Okocat litter ("Clumping" style, the blue box). It does indeed catch a good amount of the litter, and my kitties paws will be further away from it between my vacuuming the room regularly. Because I have a floofy ragdoll, his toe fluff probably touches it still, but not enough to concern me. However, if you have Persians (godly lengths of fine toebean fluff), it might be pointless to create this level of separation.Maybe 1/3 or 1/2 of the litter at least is still scattered outside of the mat, so I still have to vacuum just as often. In theory, this product is entirely pointless. I can't vacuum the mat as easily as I can the tile, and I'll need to lift/move everything to try shifting the litter out as shown in the photo. Also, I don't see how I could truly "clean" this, aside from just spraying water on it and waiting a while for it to dry. It was worth a try, but for me, it feels pointless, even though it semi-works. I'll keep using it until it's causing more mess than it's containing, because I already have it, but I'll never get another one for sure.I am unsure if this works better for clay litter. Please note that I'm using something else with wood/natural ingredients (named above and can be found on Amazon to compare to your own litter). Also, if you have a carpet floor, this would be better than nothing. But, a sturdy, flat, smooth, easy to clean surface underneath would be even better. Underneath my litterbox I also have an "IKEA computer desk mat" (unsure of the exact name) I got 7+ years ago for ~$6 USD, which is basically a large clear mat with enough weight to stay flat. This is easier to clean and would simulate a non-carpet floor if I had carpet. In a nutshell... only get this if you just wanna try a litter mat for funsies like I did... or if you are sure you like litter mats and want to try a new one out, and can't just vacuum tile floor around it easily.

This style is the most effective litter trapper I've tried thus far. A perk of this version is that it's big enough that my fool cats can't just jump over it and track litter anyway. Additionally, it's got big holes that the litter drops through, and an opening at one end, so that you can just empty the collected litter back in to the box. In my experience the grippy pad on the back does next to nothing, as this does get moved around a bunch. Would be five stars if it stayed in one place a little better.
