First, this scratching board is so much fun! The whole product, from packaging, to labeling, to the product itself feels like quality, and lives up to the price point. The board also comes with a cat toy and some catnip to help train your cat to use the scratching board. Best of all, my cats have been weirdly obsessed with it (would lounge on it and roll around on it before it was mounted), and within 24 hours of mounting it I already hear them scratching on it.For some background: I had the opportunity to review this scratching board through Amazon Vine a while back, but decided to pass on it both because we were moving & because my cats have never really been interested in those cardboard scratching boards. I ended up regretting that decision as I regularly thought about this Purrdee scratcher, dreaming about how cute it would look on the wall in our new home, wondering if my cats would use it etc… When it became available again for review, I ordered it right away. It has not disappointed at all. Not only is it actually really well made and beautiful—feeling like a real piece of art with a solid frame and saturated colors—but my cats were strangely obsessed with it almost immediately.As soon as I unpacked the scratching board, my cats came over to check it out and started crawling on top of it, smelling it, etc… It made me wonder if perhaps it already smelled like catnip from the bag that came in the box. Then I opened the bag of catnip and sprinkled some on top and they started rolling on it. I left it lying around the living room for a while as I wasn’t 100% sure where I wanted to hang it. In that time the cats would lounge on it, and I would occasionally see them give it a scratch while it was horizontal on the ground.I finally decided to mount it yesterday, which that process was super easy. The board comes with Velcro “command strips”. So far those strips have held up well. (One thing to note is the command strips cause the board to sit slightly off the wall, and you can see the white strips when you view the board from the sized. If you wanted a super clean look, you may not like that you can see the mounting material.) I chose to hang the board in a place that isn’t near furniture (which could be considered a less than ideal location), but within the first 24 hours I’ve already heard my cats scratching on it. I introduced it to them after hanging it, and used my fingers to play with them near the board, but I haven’t even done any real “training” as of yet.Overall I’m really happy with this product. It’s creative, and cute, and also really practical. Because it is packaged so well, and the art looks great, I think it would also make a great gift for a new cat parent!!(Also worth noting, my cats are aged 1 and 6 months.)

I was in somewhat of hurry when ordering a wall scratcher. I just wanted something that looked cute and had good ratings. But HOLY MOLY I was not expecting something of this quality!! Sturdy, gorgeous, great packaging with extra goodies. Very happy and highly recommend!! (Ps. Be patient with your kitty. They'll get used to it. Mine hasn't automatically caught on and that's ok. Shes going to love it the more we play around with it).

I wanted something to cover some wall damage and found this concept. At first, I didn't love how jarring a piece of art looked near the bottom of the wall. But I painted the frame and now I'm in love with it. Not sure the cats are going to treat it as a scratcher, but either way, it's staying! Would love to see more frame options and art pieces. I didn't end up using the velcro attachments because they weren't sturdy enough (and heads up, they pulled more paint off the wall when I removed them) but hanging it like a regular picture with wire and some poster mounting putty did the trick.

I know this portrait sizzle cat scratcher just showed up yesterday but I am in such a this is so beautiful the packaging was impeccable it was framed it is actually just so beautiful.Let me tell you, my cat always gets excited when the Amazon Man shows up however not I cannot remember her ever being this excited she literally once I opened the box took the phone piece off and I was admiring the artwork and I was feeling it and I tipped it to show her that it was hers as soon as she saw that she got very giddy.She was very impatient she kept pulling my shoulder and finally she couldn't stand it anymore and this is all in like 20 seconds she couldn't stand it anymore she jumped right up on top of it and she could not stand that she was not already on it and I had not already laid it out for her too to inspect. 😆So there you have it she has a definite sale of approval I have not been able to put it on the wall yet because she really likes sitting on it so and I'm trying to find a place to put it I think I know where I would like to put it but she really just like sitting on top of it so I'm going to let her have her happiness and joy to sit on top of it. She loves to roll around on it she's taking naps on it this is all in less than 24 hours I have never seen her go this happy on a toy that's come through my doors she goes happy but not like over the top happy like this.Can she see the artwork herself and absolutely appreciates it I don't know but she's very satisfied with this piece of sissel framed artwork.You can see how happy she is. She was able to get it on my rollator and balance, purrfectly content as you see in the pictures. My cat is finicky she can get a toy and not touch it for a month this one immediately she went to it immediately she was drawn to it and I've never seen her do this before so that's going to be where I leave my review she really liked it there was instant attraction and nail sharpening.I hope you like my review thank you for taking the time to read it I hope this helps you decide if this is something that you would like for your kitty and your home.
