This item is an ≈ 13¼" x 9¼" 74 oz ceramic casserole dish with a glass lid. It weighs just over 6½ lbs. It's said to be dishwasher and microwave safe as well as non-stick which I think is just a factor of the ceramic glaze. It arrived securely packaged in foam and in perfect condition. No instructions were furnished with the item, which is not a big deal, however the handle for the lid has to be attached to it with a small Philip's head screw and thin metal washer. Some people may not know whether the washer should go under the knob or under the screw head without instructions...it should go under the screw head of course, but people shouldn't have to guess that. Every other similar item that I have came with care and assembly instructions, but not this one.In my opinion the screw and washer are inadequate to hold the handle, as I'm concerned it will unscrew with time and could allow the lid to suddenly fall and shatter. I think a silicone washer would be more likely to prevent that from happening, and also the screw should have a wider flatter head and should be longer.I also am not a fan of the knob itself, it just seem cheesy and unworthy of this otherwise very nice casserole dish and lid. I'm going to try to find a nicer one with a more secure way of fastening it.There are two holes in the glass lid, a central hole for the handle and another hole off to the side somewhat which, I assume, is a vent. The so-called small handles on the dish itself are just a lip that goes all the way around the dish and is a little wider on the ends. Unfortunately the undersurface of the lip curves into the dish so ones fingers could slip off, especially if wearing oven mitts, or using pot-holders.I would like to rate this casserole dish somewhere between 3.5 and 4 stars, but I think it's definitely better than a 3 star item, hence my 4 star rating. In addition, compared to other similar casserole dishes the price is reasonable, so it is a pretty good value.

Too small. Too much expensive in comparison to other brands of the same item. Not recommended.

Works perfectly for baking scalloped potatoes, and looks great on the table for serving. Have run it through the dishwasher several times with no issues. However, the first time serving food in it, the inside got scratched - and the family swears they were careful. I would not call this restaurant quality. I am disappointed that the bottom of the dish has no information marked like dishes usually do; I like to see at least a brand name, and it is often where the notes of dish size, usage (oven safe etc) are found. Not having a stamped brand name makes me wonder about the material and safety, if a company won't even put their name on it. The glass lid comes with the knob separate, and there is no gasket to separate the metal washer and knob from the glass so it's just metal straight against glass which is risky for breakage. My other glass lids all have a ring of metal around the outer edge but this one is just glass with a rounded glass edge and it feels very fragile. Capacity says 57 Picoliters? What on earth is that? This dish will not fit recipes that are designed for standard dish sizes so be prepared to have leftover ingredients. Overall this works but there are a lot of improvements that could be made.
