I’ve had I lights for my pond three times the size that did less then this one does. My pond water was dark green and 1 week later I could see my fish again.

The uv clarifier worked as expected/great right out of the box. I purchased it on 05/14/24. As of today 07/27/24 , the bulb has already burned out. I’ve had uv clarifiers in the past. All of the bulbs have lasted over a year.Very dissatisfied

I connected the hoses, plugged the unit in….with no results after 2 weeks. The water is still green with algae in my small fish pond. It’s difficult to tell whether the bulb may be faulty, as UV light cannot be seen. It is difficult to get ahold of seller to ask questions about the product.EDIT: After more than 3 weeks, it appears the water is becoming clear. The green has diminished quite a bit—so it appears that with time, this product is working!

Short story: Installed May 2023 and it cleared our 1000 gallon pond within a few days. Still in use October 2023.Long story: Our Pond Master filters internal clarifier bulb stopped working. We found out because the pond turned green after 10 months of the Pond Master being in use.We ordered this CNZ clarifier while waiting for our Pond Master filter clarifier replacement bulb to arrive at the pond dealer (Tsugawa in Woodlands, WA).We have a big Pond Master filter that has a built in clarifier. I pulled the Pond Master clarifier bulb out of the top of the filter and realized it was filled with water. The crystal glass covering allowed water to get into the bulb area after owning the filter for about 10 months. No idea if the crystal glass was just loose from the factory. Never opened it previously. Regardless, Tsugawa dealt with this issue like a champ. They contacted the manufacturer and got us a bunch of replacement parts. We did the hour drive back to their awesome huge nursery pond store and picked up the parts. We installed the new parts and left the CNZ also in use. It still appears to be working fine without issue. We did cover the CNZ with a zippered bag of rocks so the sun wouldn't shine directly on it. At dusk we turn the CNZ and the Pond Master internal clarifier bulbs off and turn them back on in the morning. We have a lot of fish in our pond including some big Koi and some big Goldfish so there is a lot of nutrients for algae to eat and grow. Water stays clear and looks beautiful. If your pond needs a clarifier and you are worried this might be inferior, rest assured this one is good. The Pond continues to be crystal clear.
