The receiving end of this trailer hitch was not 1.25 inch and therefore when the measured 1.25 inch inserting ball mount hitch was inserted there was significant leeway. As I am using this hitch for a pole bike rack the translated tolerance to the top of the pole was measurable in inches and caused a dangerous amount of sway. I was able to stabilize the sway by modifying the hitch with 3 bolts but this required engineering a supposedly complete product in order for it to perform its function. Something never mentioned on Amazon when I was shopping around for this product and it’s intended use. I would not recommend this product or trust it’s intended use.

Seems like a great trailer hitch. Exactly what I was looking for. The only unfortunate thing was it took six days to arrive, so much for two-day prime shipping service

The Curt hitch for my VW Tiguan arrived as described. Holes aligned to vehicle. Also included fasteners for mounting hitch.

L’attache remorque comme tel a l’air très bien, livré rapidement, le seul désappointement c’est qu’il n’y avait aucun boulons pour le fixer au véhicule contrairement à certains commentaires que j’avais lu qui disaient que les boulons étaient fournis

I purchased one of these for my 2016 VW Tiguan as I've been very happy with Curt products in the past. The installation on the Tiguan is super easy, just cut out a marked panel and bolt on the hitch with 4 bolts. The moment I tested my bike rack it was apparent that the Curt hitch was welded off square, causing the rack to be tilted several degrees to the left.I contacted Curt Manufacturing customer support and was given the runaround about how it's the bike rack and I'll have to take measurements, photos etc. to prove this is the case! I would have to call back to be given instructions on how to send them the measurements & photos. WTH Curt?? Go to the Saris Cycling Group for a lesson in excellent customer service and a company that stands behind their products 100%.Thanks goodness for Amazon's simple, no questions asked, replacement policy. It took UPDATE: I received the replacement hitch from Amazon, guess what? This hitch was also not welded square! Curt clearly has a manufacturing issue here. If you are using this for a regular hitch, you probably wouldn't even notice, but with a bike rack it's very obvious. I ended up returning this also and got a Reese Towpower 06625 hitch which is perfectly square.

This was surprisingly easy to install, the video available online is very clear and helpful. Makes it hard to believe some rack shops charge hundreds of dollars to install these things.

Solid hitch. Mounting hardware was included. Installation was a 5 minute affair.

The item is as described but it did NOT come with bolting hardware or a pin as described in the details. Either its a copy/paste error to whomever populated the description of this product or it was forgotten in my order.
