I bought this for its security features and shape. I used it once and it was just fine. Now I have my swaybar hitch in place and cannot unlock the lock. Neither key works. Now what the F do I do?

Love it! Not specified in the description, this is a right-angle lock. Exactly what I needed to secure a hitch in a confined space. Even though the brand is Generic, this is a quality lock set. Heavy. I would definitely buy another.

Very handy, ease of use and durable. We'll see how it performs through the winter months (salt)!

Haven't used it much but so far so good. I really like how the lock is turned 90 degrees to the locking bolt's linear axis. That makes key access a whole lot easier in many instances.

My new car has very little space in the tow receiver to accept a tow bar pin and my lockable pin wouldn't fit, so I needed one that had the locking keyhole at right angles to the pin, as this one does. It's also a 1-piece pin, so I don't have to deal with a sleeve over the pin to make it fit my tow receiver (I have one that does and it was a pain to use). Unlock the lock, separate it from the pin, insert the pin in the tow receiver, align the lock with the pin, and press them together. Done. The lock does have a rubber or plastic cover to go over the keyhole, but I don't know if that makes the lock waterproof or not as water can enter through the pin side of the lock if it's submerged.

I needed a hitch pin lock as the one that I had previously was just a bent piece of steal with a cotter pin in it. Lol. So I searched until I came across this bad boy lock pin here. Noticed right away that there weren’t any 1 star reviews or anything bad written about it. So I did the basics in reading all the reviews. I have to say that I am beyond satisfied with the purchase of this product. It came very well packed and not only that but, I mean it’s made out of stainless steal!!! How can you go wrong with that!?!? The pin and lock are very well made. Nice and solid pieces. The lock itself is very well constructed and works/opens effortlessly. Knowing it’s going to be outside in the elements I sprayed some WD40 Into the lock to just keep it lubed and working efficiently. That’s the only thing I would recommend doing so the lock does not seize up. Especially if left out and on the hitch outside in the elements. All in all I’m very satisfied with the CZC Auto hitch lock pin.

These work correctly by snapping the locking head onto the bar. You do NOT have to turn the key to lock the head. The head snaps on with enough of a crisp latch that you are sure that it's locked (of course, I always pull the head back to make sure. . . ). The quality seems fine (for such a simple item)--brushed stainless steel. Plastic wrap on the head and a plastic cap. In room temperatures, the cap seems like it will last. HOWEVER, after using it in the cold, I might find that the little hinge breaks or the cap splits---it would be SO nice if they would use silicon for these parts. Overall, a great product / value for the price.
