The first one I received started dripping within a couple of weeks. I received a replacement. I removed it to discover that the rubber o-ring had fallen out and it was stuck in the faucet itself. I could see it. I retrieved it with some tweezers. I noticed the replacement I was sent didn't even have the needed rubber washer In the sealed package. The black washer on the very end that creates the seal is falling out of the first one I received and the second one didn't even have the rubber washer apparently it fell out at the factory and was shipped that way. You can see it in the picture It's definitely supposed to be there. I cannot recommend this product It's a poor quality replacement for a poor quality fixture. Even though the fixture is a poor quality this was supposed to make it better two of them failed due to lack of quality assurance. The picture I am providing is of it sealed in the package without the needed washer that fell out of the first one anyway.

These are for older "Utopia" faucets and maybe others, they have an O ring at the bottom not a washer. They work fine as far as sealing but they turn a bit too easily compared to my old ones. Very easy to spin on to full force in the blink of an eye. Otherwise, they work fine and are direct replacements.3/22/17 - Had to amend this review, these units just aren't as good as the originals. Looks like the tolerances are too large which cause mostly all the problems with them turning too easily. Next, the plastic retainer on the bottom that holds the o-ring in is smaller than the original which causes the o-ring to fall out from the water pressure every so often which makes your faucet unable to shut off. I ended up just removing the seals from this unit and putting them on the old cartridge and everything is working well. Unless your original cartridge is physically broken, I suggest just trying to replace the o-rings on your original unit. You likely won't be too happy with these replacements.

Had to make minor alteration to units. Average homeowner might have destroyed them trying to force the assembly. Parts were not really as advertised.

this replacement stem is an exzact fit for my rv shower faucet. cannot find at any of my local rv centers. excellent quality. would not hesitate to buy again.
