I purchased this as a no rust, no paint option vs. a similar steel mount and knowing I would have to drill the 1/2" antenna mount hole to 5/8" for my install. The diamond plate ridges in close proximity to the antenna hole caused the antenna mount to skew off vertical a noticeable amount, especially using an 8.5' antenna whip. I lightly ground down the offending ridges for a proper antenna mount install which also scratched up the surrounding surface a little bit.Also, the two mounting tabs were not cut/bent the same on each side, causing me to have to use a couple flat washers between the tabs and mounting surface on one side of the mount to allow the mount to not be skewed a little bit.Overall this is installed and works as intended due to my modifications, but I would choose a different option next time if I were to do it again.

I am very unhappy about this. One came polished diamond tread aluminum, and the other plan dull aluminum.

It's much larger than the picture displays, but I made it work.It fits perfectly in my situation the way I placed it and looks great. I installed with self drilling screws very easy. The Size is about 4 inches by 4 inches

I just mounted it on the back of my truck, tool box today. Easy to mount. I just used to liquid paper to mark the drill holes, drilled the holes, and mounted with machine screws, regular washers, lock washers and machine nuts. It mounts strong.
