Great little brush kit which includes the toothbrush, dog bite block, and toothpaste. My dog does fine when I brush his teeth so I have no issues and no need to use the bite block. The bristles feel soft and seems to be doing a good job with brushing his teeth. Overall good quality brush and seems to be good toothpaste too.

The toothbrush is the star here - definitely a good choice on that front! It's held up really well for a couple of months and many many uses. The toothpaste is fine too, not necessarily my favorite, but my doodle hasn't objected, so there's that. I wish it were more minty lol.

This is the first time I have seen a bite blocker included in a toothbrushing kit. Some may find it helpful but my pup is usually pretty good in allowing me to brush his teeth without biting down too hard. I did try it but it distracted my pup enough that it was just easier not to use it. He was curious what it was and wanted to keep chewing on that and sniffing it. It's a little bulky too but again, some may find it helpful. I like that the toothbrush has 2 sizes, one small and one larger for the back molars or for larger dogs. The handle was easy to hold and maneuver. I don't know if my dog liked the toothpaste or not as most of the time when I have toothpaste on the brush, he will start licking it before I can get it in his mouth. With this one, he sniffed more so without trying it first and then I just started brushing. He didn't pull away from it so that's a plus. Also a little on the pricy side at $21.99 at the time of this review.

I had never seen a “bite blocker” before. This set has one. You insert the smaller end into the side of the dog’s mouth to keep their mouth open for brushing. It does work, although my Pomeranians have a hissy fit when I use them. They do love the toothpaste taste, and they tolerate the brush. I use the smaller end of the brush. For bigger dogs, there is a larger end. The brushes have a silicone section on the side to help stimulate the gums. The price is reasonable for this set, because you will be able to use the toothbrush and bite blocker for a long time, even after you have to replace the toothpaste. My vet has said that enzymatic toothpaste is the best, and this one is enzymatic. I brush my dogs’ teeth every night, and I have been using enzymatic toothpaste. Their teeth are in very good condition. I highly recommend this set, especially for the bite blocker and unusual brushes.

This is the first time I've encountered a bite block for brushing a dog's teeth, and I think the idea is brilliant but the actual application is a bit inconsistent (depending on the dog). Mine is pretty good at keeping his jaw open while I brush his teeth, but his teeth are huge and very sharp, so I like the thought that something is there to prevent his jaw closing while my fingers are in the way. However, the moment it is actually in contact with his back teeth, he starts mouthing at it and wants to chew... Not exactly helpful. It'll take some training to overcome that. The double ended toothbrush is easy to grip and the smaller toothbrush in particular is built with a nice angled head to get behind those rear teeth. Both heads have silicone scrubbing nubs to really rub and pull at any built up plaque and crust on the teeth. That's nice for me bc I don't brush my dog's teeth every single day.I'm glad the toothpaste isn't flavored with fish or peanuts, since so many are and I have severe allergies to both. The toothpaste ingredients listed are: water, hydrated silica, sorbitol, glycerin, cellulose gum, calcium carbonate, sodium benzoate, citric acid, tetrasodium pyrophosphate, zinc gluconate, glucose oxidase, and 'flavor' (in this case, banana mint).

The Paw Ready Doggy Breath to Doggy Fresh Dog Dental Care Kit comes with enzymatic toothpaste, a two sided toothbrush designed for both large and small dogs, and a bite block. I have tried a few other doggie dental kits and this is the first one with a bite blocker which took me a bit to get right but is really helpful. I also like that the toothbrush has an extra long handle. My dogs aren't super cooperative so I have to hold their collar with one hand while trying to do everything else with the other. The long handle gives me a longer reach as they turn their heads and try to avoid the toothbrush.

The brush is good quality and has two ends for different-sized mouths. My dog doesn’t hate the toothpaste, but so far, he hasn’t gobbled it up either. He’s still refusing to let me brush his teeth, but I think with time, I’ll be able to make this product work. The device used to hold his mouth open works well—I put it on my hand, and he chomped on it, which kept his mouth open.

Too bad so sad, she needs her teeth brushed anyway.I bought this set for the special tooth brush and the bite blocker. I'm not super impressed with the ingredients of the toothpaste, there's only one enzyme... Also it's a screw top tube, not a flip top, so a bit more cumbersome to use.My dog doesn't like the banana mint flavor! ☹️ I'll need to use another toothpaste. My dog hates the bite blocker and the toothbrush, but hopefully I can get her to tolerates it a bit so I can better reach her back teeth.
