This Domica internal filter comes with 5 Sponges and the detachable cartridge to put them in. There is also an air hose. While the filter instructions say that multiple cartridges can be attached for better filtration, I did not see how that would be possible as the filter is very small. The sponges that were included were crushed but a quick rinse underwater put them back in shape. The air hose that's attached to the output does not seem to be pumping much air. I tried to put an airstone on it and nothing was coming out. I use this on a 5 gallon shrimp tank. And I have not seen any shrimp get stuck to the filter, But it is pushing the water and agitating it at the output area. It's nice because it is a lower flow and it does seem to be doing its job. I wish I could add different filter media, But the area that you would put it in is so small that the main sponge itself takes up everything. Overall, this is a small and very quiet internal filter that I am hoping will take over for the hang on back filter that is on the tank right now. I would suggest putting a fine mesh or nylon over the intake, Although the flow rate hasn't yet sucked any of my shrimp in, when they start to breed I am going to worry about my fry. It is a very small filter, so it's easy to hide behind plants or decorations. I have a heavily planted tank so you don't even notice it's there. Overall, For small tanks this is a decent little filter. Again, I would put a fine measure over the intake if you do have fry. I do wish you could add different media to it, But I may try to experiment fitting other media in and seeing how it works. For the price point, this is a decent little filter. That's not too high output and not a horribly strong suction.

This little filter packs a bit of a punch. I put it into my 10 gallon aquarium that has some shrimp and baby sword tails in it and none of the tanks occupants became stuck to the filter, that's a huge deal with these little filters! It comes with a sponge fitting on the inside of the area that goes down into the tank and this will help if you're using it for a tank with fry that can handle the water flow.I found baby shrimp in my tank while checking this out and so I decided to just go ahead and try it out in my main 55 gallon tank, more tank water surface area is a good thing with several types of fish and this, turned up all the way was pushing a nice current clear to the middle of the tank. This also comes with extra replacement sponges in the box and overall I'd recommend it for a secondary filter/surface agitation and it works great even in bigger tanks. The sponge inside is also a huge bonus in case you ever need to medicate a fish, you'd already have a small filter with seeded media to help cycle water easier in a hospital tank.

The DOMICA Small Aquarium Filter is perfect for my daughter's new fish tank! This submersible filter has a strong aeration system and provides excellent filtration at 92GPH, keeping the water crystal clear in her 5-gallon tank. It’s easy to install and operates quietly, which is a plus for her bedroom. Watching her fish swim happily in such clean water has made this purchase worth every penny. If you're looking for a reliable filter for small tanks, this one is a fantastic option!

This little pump is so powerful it really clears the water. I am so impressed by the price it’s so reasonable,I love those bubbles but my bubbles doesn’t, i have a beta and when I put him in the tank with all those bubbles i think it scared him and he’s been incognito ever since, all is good I brought another less active pump both great

Easy to clean and reuse. 5 Star for sure.New: The filter started making loud noises, now it doesn't work at all anymore. Just close to 2 weeks of owning it. 1 Star
