Don’t waste your money. I’m very handy but gave up on this piece of junk because like others have said- the instructions are terrible. Even if the instructions were this bad, if they included a template you would have a chance but they don’t. You’ll end up with holes in your door and that’s about it.

When I first opened the box, it was strange seeing how small it is compared to identical looking closers you see in businesses that are usually quite large. But this is a good thing being that it was needed for a light interior door. But it's heavy for its size and feels very solid. This is made to allow for installation on either side of the door. My biggest issue though is the poor instructions. They are a bit confusing and make you feel overwhelmed before starting.Once you get it installed, assuming you figured it out the right way, it closes softly and the speed/force can also be adjusted to accommodate for the weight of your door, as long as it's rated for this model. This works well for such a good price!

A home inspector said our garage doors should close on their own, plus, my mother in law always seems to leave it open when she takes her dog out. It took me a long time to get motivated to install it because the instructions are appallingly bad. I decided to watch a few YouTube videos (not made by the manufacturers) and that helped a lot. I didn't have a handy metric measuring tape (since the instructions are all shown in millimeters), so I had to hunt around my wife's sewing kit to find one. To make matters worse, the chart had some typos in it, so it was hard to tell which distance from the side of the door was needed for the desired opening. I think I chose the wrong value. Judging from the YouTube video (and the comment section), these items are a commodity that seem very much alike, sold by different vendors. Many commenters thanked the YouTube posting because their instructions were also bad. I'd recommend finding one where the seller invested in someone who is experience in writing instructions in plain English.

The diagram that was included helps with positioning. I didnt understand anything else it offered, but it was easy to install. Took about 10 minutes and it works great. No more annoying people slamming doors at 2,3,4,5 a.m. It took me forever to think of adding this. It was months of putting up with one girl slamming the door just to annoy everyone. This stopped that real quick 🤣🤣🤣

Nice, heavy for its size.We are using it for the back patio door so the dogs can go out and the door will close behind them. It is easy to adjust the tension so that it won't close all the way, just enough so that they can get back in. (The yard is fenced so they can just run around on their own.)Only real issue is the instructions need a good translator. Anyone with reasonable DIY skills and some sense can figure it out, but still - needs work.
