I installed this on the door frame to prevent the deadbolt from slamming into the frame when the door closed and the bolt was open.Works great as a strike plate and is saving (what’s left) of my doorframe.

Easy to install, minimal damage to the door vs the ones with big bolts going through the front and back of door.

Seems to be strong enough, installed easily. Had to return it because it didn't fully cover the gap between the door and door frame.
