This works really well on my fluffy dog and medium haired cat. It removes matts and excess fur easily. They don't seem to mind it either. It is easy to hold and easy to use.

I have been using this brush on my Golden for some time and it has been a nice addition to my grooming tool set. I find that keeping the brush angle at about 45 degrees to the surface of my pet gets the best results at pulling loose fur. My dog went through a major shedding recently and this brush was important to keep dog fur from being lose all over my home. I appreciate this tool and have no problem recommending it to everyone I know.

I got this for my short hair cat and it didn't work well. The product is well-made but is truly designed for long-haired pets. The main issue I had with this product was cleaning. Hair sticks to it very easily and due to its design, it is not the easiest to clean and remove all the hair.

I have been extremely impressed with its performance. While it may not be the most high-end option on the market, for the cost, it definitely gets the job done. The rake has a comfortable sturdy handle, with a nice rubber grip.It effectively removes loose fur from my dog's coat. My retriever tends to shed quite a bit, especially during the warmer months, but this rake has drastically reduced the amount of hair that ends up all over my furniture and floors. I can only say seeing is believing the amount of fur this removes.

We have a dog that has medium to long fine fur that gets "dingle berries" or fur mats, in his coat because he likes to wallow in stuff, outside on the ground. We hate to snip them out with scissors because it makes it look like a five year old gave him a haircut. We can use this grooming rake to gently rake and cut through the fur mats to get them out. It seems to work similar to thinning shears by cutting through just enough hair to get the fur mat out, leaving enough fur to look natural. This is the best solution I've found so far. The rake has double sided curved metal teeth to protect the skin with, cutting blade edges on the inner curve, to help gently cut through the fur between the skin and the mat. I use short gentle strokes to loosen and finally rake the mat out. You can't just rake it through or you will pull fur and skin off and, that would not be good. The handle has a thick cushioned grip, making it easy to hold and control.

I have a 15 year old female cat who is a little overweight and has difficulty grooming herself, especially her back. Fortunately her fur is not long enough to get matted but she has skin flakes that look like dandruff. I only gave her about 3-4 strokes of this device and it was unbelievable how much loose fur came off. Later that evening when she was in my lap, I stroked her back and couldn't believe the difference. She actually felt soft and silky, which is quite a feat for a cat of her age. She didn't like the rake that much but just a few strokes made a big difference. If she will let me do that every couple of days, she will look like a young cat again. I love this thing. I'm going to try it on my other cats and my senior dog. He's part German Shepherd so if you're familiar with the breed, you know how much they shed. He wasn't fond of me brushing him with this but again just a couple of strokes made a huge difference.

This double sided grooming tool is pretty great. It arrives in a plastic package with the backing being the cardboard sheet with advertising on it.The tool has two sides, one with smaller hooks than the other side. The idea is that when you pull on it, it just cuts off the fur as the blades are inside of the inner edges of the hooks so it doesn't touch or cut your pet. It works pretty great but I do feel that the price is pretty high as well. The handle isn't bad either as the rubber on the sides does help to grab it a bit better.

I ordered this for our cattle dog, who sheds a ton (especially now that it's getting warm out). She has some wave to her fur along her back and I found the comb pulled just a bit through certain areas of her fur, so proceed with caution. Our dog doesn't always loved being brushed but sat through this with ease so it must have been more comfortable for her than some others. I love that there are two options for grooming too. This removed quite a bit of fur and our pup didn't seem bothered at all, so we'll keep using it!
