This is a good tool for washing those old records you pick up at the collector's market - You know the kind that are dirty and borderline musty, but you had to have it. Covers the paper label and keeps the water out. Life was pretty hard before I got one of these.

Keeps your labels dry. You can run water over the record while cleaning it and not worry about the label washing away. Thumbs up.

I agree with other reviewers that this is a well made and easy to use device.Also, putting touch of paint or fingernail polish to identify the knob that you need to loosen is a good idea, as others have suggested. But Instead of trying to find something like that and having to wait for it to dry I simply put a scratch across the top of the knob with a nail file. A cut with a steak knife would have worked just as well.

I have used this to clean over 100 records with no issues. I use the SpinWash cleaner in a spray bottle and blast the record with cleaner then wipe with a paint edger. Then rinse with distilled water and wipe down with a microfiber cloth! It has restored tons of my old records that were to dirty to use! If you have to clean a large number of records I highly recommend! I don’t think the Vacuum record cleaners for 10x the price can compare with this!

A must for any DIY record cleaning. I can’t say how much easier it is to clean records with this product. It would have saved me a lot of hard ache and money. I destroyed more than a few labels from my collection. I use the vinyl vac with this product....perfect combo. I am not willing to shell out 500+ for a record cleaner.

This product works well, and I have cleaned about 50 vinyl LP albums so far. There are just a few things I would recommend which would improve it.1) Larger knobs would make it easier to hold and maneuver.2) If the knobs were either a different shape or color (from each other), it would be easy to visually tell which knob was free, and which was fixed to the threaded rod. That would make it easier to disassemble without fumbling things.3) The o-rings stick to the album, and come out of the groove in the holder halves too easily. If you don't notice that and assemble to the next record, you could have a mis-located o-ring and have a leak onto the label. Tighter fitting grooves might solve that problem.

En general mis discos Lps los mantengo limpios y a buen resguardo del polvo, por lo que recomendaría este dispositivo para esos lps algo sucios con polvo muy visible, como éste que compré en el mercado de pulgas. Que mejor que lavarlos gentilmente con agua y jabón líquido, ese que se usa para los trastes, enjuagar bien y dejar escurrir y sobretodo no se moja la etiqueta del disco. Si se quiere, al final limpiar con alcohol isopropilico. Funciona bien.
