This thing is a nicely machined well made part, that has 1 fatal flaw:• you want to use it to convert your X-Lock grinder to a "regular" grinder, right?• and it does the trick for that - no problem• the thing is, most X-Lock grinders do not have a button you can push to lock the part that turns, because the X-Lock makes that unnecessary• it will only take 1 or 2 uses for the part that unscrews to become hopelessly stuck• once it does, there's no way to unscrew it to change out disks without destroying the threadsGreat idea overall, and well made, but unless the first disk you use will be the only one you'll ever use, it's best to avoid this otherwise helpful adapter.

connected right to my bosch angel grinder no problem so I can use my old open center disc's and grinder love the product perfectly clicks in

The grinder was a great addition to my tools, but the x box blades are too expensive, and I already had several hundred of just the round hole blades so this was a great answer to that problem. As far as the safety feature, I'm not too concerned as I often used them without a guard anyway, just have to be aware of what you're doing.
