I can't see myself going to a gig, whether it be jazz or rock, without the convenience and slick look of this stand. One of my favorite purchases!!With that said, if came with a TON of grease on the rod- in fact i think its coming from the tube that the rod gets fed through (part of the tube with the supportive felt where the bottom hi hat rests) its made it impossible to unscrew the rod without the clutch tightened down and used as an anchor- not the biggest deal as this lube I'm sure supports the smoothness of motion butI did struggle with it for a few gigs before realizing the clutch could be used for this dilemma. With that said, it never took away from how great the pedal feels/ sounds (its dead silent compared to my last crappy and heavy hi hat stand)

I bought this stand to replace an older version. Nothing wrong with the older one, the newer version just has a few improvements.

Overall pretty great. It’s a little wobbly compared to something heavier duty but I love the feel and the retro look.

I think the stand is good, but it is a little flimsy in that it shakes a lot when I play. I like that it comes with two poles, but I wish the shorter one was an inch longer.

I bought this after monkeying around with other "lightweight" brands.The good...The titler on this model is the best of anything in this price range.Everything feels very durable.Just fits into the top tray of my ancient trap case.The clutch is great!The "could be better"...The stand is a little wobbly, especially on a hollow stage or less-than-level concrete. I guess that's to be expected.As mentioned in other reviews...it's nice to have two different lengths of pull rods. I'm 5'9" and the short rod is almost useless. If both rods were 2 inches longer than they'd of had something.All in all I'm pleased with the purchase

i found gibraltar's flat-based stand to be superior in nearly ever way. the DW version is incredibly sluggish with both 15 & 16 inch hats. it's also insanely wobbly on any surface that's not perfectly level because the legs have to be completely flush to the floor. i played stages where this thing swayed like it was in the middle of some invisible tug of war. the legs are also much longer than the gibraltar version which makes placement a bit more difficult. if you're going to go the flat-base route, go with the gibraltar.

Wow! Very light but stable Hi Hat. Takes up minimum space and helps lower weight of kit bag. Also performs well.
