The tape doesn’t stick to the flange, the flange adds a half inch to the tub, the corners curl up and there’s no seal whatsoever. There is no world in which this product works as advertised. I wish I could get my money back for this hot garbage you’re better off with a piece of zip tape

I bought a Duravit Stark rectangular shower tray and only learned after much research (calling Duavit twice) that this flange is highly recommended for installing the tray. The double sided tape that came with it did not stick, rendering the flange useless. I contacted Duravit and they gave me some additional installation advice that was not included in their installation instructions (for example, you should cut the corners to have a tighter fit). But even then, this thing doesn't seem to work. My contractor said that he cannot warranty my new shower base because he expects this flange to fail from keeping water out of the wall. Don't waist you money on this very expensive piece of plastic and buy a shower base with an installed flange.
