I have a few home built 3D printers with beefy nema 17 steppers, running at 2a each. They get pretty toasty, especially at high speeds and accelerations. These copper heatsinks are a must for them, the steppers run way cooler with these compared to the other black aluminum heatsinks I had on them before, easily 10C cooler with a temp reader.

I used these for the backs of LED chips, that are 20mmx20mm.Compared to the aluminum ones, these work much better. I think aluminum only has about half of the thermal conductivity as copper, and that tracks with about how hot they get when run at the same wattage. The adhesive is solid and not coming off anytime soon.
