My outdoor outlet died most likely due to moisture ingress from particularly bad storms in the past year, and I bought this one as it appeared the most similar and has the WR rating.Installation was simple, in this case there were only three wires to attach - the ground, and the line and neutral, which must be attached to the LINE side of the device. Note this applies to all GFCI receptacles and not just this one. In my case the load went unused since the box only had the one 14/2 cable coming into the box and no outlets downstream to protect. If in fact you do have downstream outlets, make sure to attach them to the LOAD side of the device so that the GFCI protection can extend to those devices.

This GFCI was used to replace a plug that I had died - the test reset routine didn't take. Anyways, relatively straight forward swap. And all is good now.

Eaton makes good products. Doubt there will be any issues. Can be a bit pricier but the quality is seen when installing these outlets.

The only thing I could fault, is that the GFCI labels to put onto downstream outlets are black type on white background, rather than the white on blue background of Leviton, which is more noticeable. Other than that, everything is better.

Install was simple and worked fine for about 2 months. We lost power during a thunderstorm and would not reset afterwards. Cheap.

I love these for outside use (I have 3 outlets around the outside of the house. However, I want to warn everyone about Eaton - outlets or GFCI outlets, they are not the same as USA outlets in terms of spacing between the two individual outlets on each one. This leads to a problem if you want to plug in one of the 6 outlet item or anything that attempts to utilize both sides of the outlet. They are slightly farther apart than our "normal" USA outlets. So those 6 outlet (or 4 or whatever) converters that we love to plug in. Since I don't plan on doing anything like that with these outside ones, I kept the 5 stars. If I was intending these for interior I would subtract a star or two.-Gerry
