I have several of these in my house. I got annoyed when Lowe’s switched to Eaton, so now when I need a GFCI, I order a Hubbell on Amazon. The reason is, because in addition to the red status LED (solid for tripped, blinking for dead), there’s a green LED that simply indicates it’s on a live circuit, regardless of whether it’s normal, tripped, or dead. (I’d choose even plain electrical outlets with a “live circuit” light if such a thing existed.) Useful to quickly know if it’s the GFCI that has tripped or the regular circuit breaker in the panel. Also, to help find the outlet in the dark, and to warn you if you forgot to turn off the breaker if you have to work on it. I don’t like dark devices, so for any type of device, if there’s a version with at least one LED to tell you it’s getting juice, that will be my likely choice, barring other factors. (Not a fan of GFCIs that only light up when something’s wrong.) Finally, it looks rugged and well-designed.

Two (out of four) of these outlets failed within 4 years. Going with a different brand.

Installed 3 of these on a boat to replace some aging and malfunctioning GFCI receptacles. They worked flawlessly for the rest of the time we owned that boat, which was 18 months.

Bought this same one from Lowes last year (GFTWRST15W BULKR). It just went out on me, today, with a loud buzzing (like the reset clicking rapidly) then started smoking. Glad it did it while having a family party on the deck, otherwise I might have missed it and who knows where it would have went from there.Had to shutoff the break, uninstall, and put plugs and electrical tape on ends until I can get a new (different brand) GFCI outlet. Its made in China.
