Bought these so we wouldn’t have to deal with the chirp when the battery was low… atleast for the 10 years they should last…. Unfortunately less than a year later one of them is chirping it’s getting low already, and another failed and set them all off… I went crazy trying to find which one was the problem. 2 stars is because the one that failed did so in the middle of the night and they were loud enough to wake all of us up.

The alarms worked very good until the adhesive on one of them gave way and it fell to the floor and now want reset, it goes off every five minutes, trying to replace.

I bought these to replace the aging detectors in my home, I should have just gone to Home Depot.First, they shipped me detectors that were already 2 years old, which is 20% of their use life.Everything was fine until today (4 months after purchasing). At random they activated, and once they activate they don’t stop. Pressing the reset button provides only temporary relief, they just go off again a few minutes later. The fire department came to my home, they couldn’t get them to reset and finally just recommended that I replace them with a different brand.If they ever activate, good luck to you. Very unfortunate that I received a defective product and only learned about it after I am outside of the return window. Also unfortunate that they shipped me old stock.Bottom line, avoid at all cost.
