This is one of those items you hope you never have to use. We have fire extinguishers but how often does anyone check their fire extinguishers? They do "expire". These fiberglass blankets don't have an expiration date.The set of 4 is great. It doesn't come with hooks to hang. You definitely want to hang for quick deployment in the event you need it. I have one in our laundry room off the kitchen, one near the back door for the grill in the backyard, one in the garage, and one with our camping gear.Beware of taking one out to see it. These are made of fiberglass. I made the mistake of taking one out of the package I got from another manufacturer to demonstrate how to use it for my mother-in-law and ended up with itchy, painful forearms for a few hours. If you want to check them, protect your hands and forearms and anything it touches.

I actually used one of these blankets, but my review was removed, so I will be short and to the point this time.-- GREAT price for 4 of them.-- Appears to be the standard size for fire blankets like this.-- Smothered my campfire easily.-- DOES need to be left on until the fire cools, or it may reignite when you take it off.-- Played around with it a bunch and despite getting some black marks on it, it still seems to be in great shape and work well. It does smell of smoke now though.Overall I am very VERY pleased with how well they work and that there are 4 of them. Yes, I recommend them.(I only review items that I really, ACTUALLY use. NEVER just opening the box and looking at it. Hope it's helpful!)

Seems very easy to use and would be much easier to clean up than a fire extinguisher. The fiberglass blanket simply covers the fire and smothers it. Simple most always works best. You don't have to worry about a mechanical failure. I hope I never need them but feel much more comfortable knowing they are in my kitchen.

Like fire extinguishers and smoke detectors.This fire blanket is one of those things you have. But you hope you never have to use it.The blanket comes as a four-set so I have one for me and the rest of the family.The blanket does not come with hooks.You need hooks to hang the blanket.That’s the easy part.So is using the blanket.In case of fire, pull the straps.OrPeel down the velcro flap, then pull on the straps.Out Of The BagUsing the straps, pull open the blanket and smother the fire.There is a little more to it, and I suggest taking a fire suppression class; if possible.But rest assured that the fire blanket is a great way to stop a small fire from spreading.Note the word small.Now for the hard part.The blanket placement is important.When I placed my mom’s and brother’s blankets, we discussed the best location for them in case of a fire.Tip. The worst place is at the source of the fire.For example.You have a pot on fire on the stove.The fire blanket is located on a cabinet adjacent to the stove.You have to reach over the flames to get to the blanket.Bad placement.Sounds ridiculous.Not really. Most people want the fire blanket and the fire extinguisher right at the source of a fire.Most people panic at the sight of flames. My blanket is near my kitchen sink. To reach the blanket, I leave the fire zone, grab the fire blanket, and return to the fire.Then I put the blanket over the fire.The whole thing takes seconds.Note that I have an average-size kitchen. And I have fire training, so this works for me.The fire blanket locations for my mother and brother are different.But the idea is the same. Momentarily leave the fire zone. Get the blanket, and smother the fire.And remember the fire blanket is for small fires.Once again, the fire blanket is a good thing to have, just in case.

Does it job...Great for kitchen dangers, with fire, also good for camping fires, good value for money, perfect size for smaller fires, easy to us, comfortable on hands

Bought these on sale and I was a little nervous because there are many sellers. These are very professional and the sellers goal is fire safety. I feel confident. It’s better to have it and not need it, than to need it, and not have it. Great gift idea for your elderly parents.

I haven't needed to use this het and hopefully never will, so I can't speak to their workability until then. Fingers crossed when it comes to it, this will help. Good bundle for the price
