No complaints. Easy to install and has no issue with bolts or anything. Everything was solid and as described. To hang I just drilled out one whole, hung the bar then marked out the other 4 holes. Easy as can be

I was really struggling between this and a cheaper option, but so glad I went with the quality option! Straightforward installation, obviously well-made, and comfortable to use. Got me back into working out again.

The bar that I received was quality perfect. Everything was straight with no issues with welds, paint, etc. I used the included bolts for two of the top holes and I used two lag bolts that I bought for the bottom holes. This made it easier to get to in my case. So like anything else that you buy sight unseen you can get good and you can get not so good. This bar was perfect in every way. YMMV

Love it! Only complaint is that it is smooth and makes it harder to keep a grip. I put a little duct tape on where I hold on or you can use some weight lifting chalk. Having it right out the door to my garage makes me more consistent and I am up to 3 sets of 6 Marine pull-ups - full extension and no knee ups.

While installation was a little tricky as I mounted it parallel to the ceiling rafters (and so had limited space to fit the drill into) and ended up having to buy a sufficiently large drill bit (you need bigger than is found in a standard set), I’m so happy with it now. Very sturdy, and the whole family gets some use out of it. I put some grip tape on it for extra comfort, it’ll be easy enough to change out when it wears out.

This is great for open rafters in a garage. After replacing door frames and doors to white, I can no longer use a door jam pull-up bar because they leave black streaks or require holes drilled in the frame. This was a perfect option. 2-stars on the install, because you have to get in a ladder, measure, drill holes, and install nuts and bolts. That’s not a reason not to order this if you have a permanent spot picked out. This is solid, has different angles hand grips, and I am happy with my purchase.

Very good quality for the price. All welded hollow construction of adequate gauge, powder coated steel, with heavy black phosphate bolts included. Should be long lasting for all but the very most strenuous gym use. I wrapped with grip tape to give better purchase. Note: I think the two things this bar is missing are easily added. The first is a block of material to place inside each square tube, under the bolts, to keep the tube from collapsing or deforming when the the bolts are torqued very tight. I used a piece of oak scrap wood I had on hand and drilled holes with the wood inserted inside the tube. The second is four additional washers to place under the nuts being fastened down against wood, since I used the ones which came with the kit on the bolt head side. With the added washers and material inside the tubes, I was able to torque the assembly much tighter than would be otherwise possible, making the installation overall much tighter, more solid, and less likely to shift and loosen over time. I’m very happy with this bar, it should last a very long time.

I'm very happy with this pull up bar. I hung it on a joist in my garage and it's been holding up great. The bar is not textured so you'll have to add your own grip to it. I prefer it smooth so this is not an issue for me.

This is my second pull-up bar. The first, a ceiling mounted straight bar installed in my finished garage, would have hung too low to move to the basement. This ergonomic grip, rafter-mounted bar is perfect for the new location. It measures 16.3 inches top to bottom. Mounted with its top adjacent to standard 7” rafters, it provides 8” of clearance between the bottom of the rafter and the top of the lowest parts of the crossbar. Being that my quarter basement ceiling is low, I have to bend my knees to avoid touching down between reps, which is perfectly acceptable in exchange for not smashing my head at the top of the reps.Hardware was included and installation took only a few minutes. I discovered it was easiest to use a 3/8” bit instead of the recommended larger 7/16” bit. Rather than installing one bolt and then marking the remaining three spots with a pen, I opted to hold the bar in place and just drill through it for the last three holes. This allowed me to drill level and true so the bolts (which fit snugly through the smaller than recommended holes) lined up with ease.I prefer the ergo shape to my straight bar and have yet to hit my head. If a drop ceiling were installed, I’d have mounted it as low as possible instead.

Great pull-up bar, I really enjoy the Chinup grip on this one. I used to prefer doing pullups rather than Chinups, but the ergonomic grip feels very comfortable. I suffered a shoulder injury and doing Chinups on this bar gives me very little shoulder discomfort. Very happy with the purchase.

Very nice product for unfinished basements. It was easy to mount myself. I used a smaller drill bit than they require since I did not have the correct one and just drilled it out a little more. I then used a hammer to push through the bolts. The bar doesn't move at all. I wish there was a better grip option, the bar is slippery without gloves one.
