I have been using this bag for over a year and I think at this time I am able to write a well informed review of this product. First thing to make note of, I am a 28 year old male, 5’10”, and I weigh 150 pounds. I am by no means large, but I am of athletic build and would consider myself strong for my size. That being said I am by no means a professional athlete or an elite striker, so I am making this review as a single dad who like to, and enjoys, taking to a bag to stay in shape. With all of that out of the way lets begin. For sturdiness, I have been using this bag every day, for at least one hour a day each day. I perform fist strikes, kicks, knees, and elbows and in the year of using this I can say that all the seams have held up flawlessly, the fabric has not failed, and the overall usefulness of the bag has retained itself just as well as the first day that I got it. It gives me enough resistance when striking and kicking that I am able to move the bag, but not so much that it wildly swings, allowing me to maintain a good and constant flow during my workout routines. That being said before you purchase a bag make sure you are buying the right bag for your own weight and skill. For me this size is perfect, but for someone like my dad (he is 6’0” and 245 pounds) this bag may be a bit small for him. The portability of this bag is as you would expect, being a larger, heavier cylindrical object, but when I first got it I had to take it up three flights of spiraling stairs as I lived in a third floor apartment building, and I got it up there just fine. Overall, if you are looking for a bag that would be able to take some daily abuse and still be as good as the day you bought it I would recommend this bag. Just make sure that when purchasing a heavy bag you buy one for your skill level and size. If after you figure that out this one is in your range I say get this one, you will not be disappointed!

I didn’t have any of the problems mentioned by other reviewers. My punching bag was delivered in an intact box and I didn’t have any problems with shifting sand bags or having to refill the bag. Wear 12 oz boxing gloves and you are good to go. This is a large bag, so if you are just starting or have a small apartment, you may want to start with a smaller Everlast bags. Many years ago, I started with a smaller Everlast bag because of space constraints. Good luck and knock the living daylights out of it! Great workout and adrenaline booster!

I was extremely happy with my bag. It came earlier than expected and was as expected. I've used this bag before prior to the pandemic at the boxing club I was going to. Due to the pandemic, my boxing classes have gone virtual and this bag was exactly what I needed to complete the workout and I feel as though I am back in the gym and get the same workout! The bag was easy to hang and was exactly as advertised. I am so glad I bought this, worth every penny!

I was on the fence if I should get a heavy bag or a free-standing punching bag, but I elected to go with the heavy bag route and I am glad that I did. When the item was shipped, packaging was fine; the box was ripped here and there. Fortunately, the product inside had no damage at all. This is a very robust heavy bag and at 100 pounds is what I exactly needed. I am 5’9” and weigh 170 pounds, a beginner and just about to start learning how to box for aerobic purposes. The bag is able to provide resistance to my punches, which was what I was expecting so as to give me a good aerobic workout.Highly recommended!

After couple months of use it has stood up, everything seems to have settled a little in the bag so there are so harder spots. I'm pretty happy with the bag thus far though.

I did a lot of research before investing in this bag. Saul Canelo Alvarez uses this bag and he's a pretty heavy hitter and it looked like it stood up to what he could dish out. This heavy bag is one of the few that come with the chain and for the price you cannot beat it.PRICE- 5/5I looked at Sports Authority, Dicks and a number of online stores, and amazon had it at the best possible price. I believe i purchased it for around 86 dollars after taxes and all, which is pretty good provided there is free shipping and its a 100 lb bag which when originally launched was $120.00.Shipping- 4/5A lot of the comments focus on how beat up the box is, but this isn't really Amazons fault nor is it Everlast's fault. What it really comes down to is the box protects from scratches and it does this. Yes, it looks beat up when it comes to your door, but i wouldn't want a bag that couldn't withstand some tossing around....nor would i want to meet or open the box that could withstand a 100 lb bag inside of it without getting a little beat up. All in all, the bag arrived without a scratch and it was in perfect condition.PACKING- 2/5I've seen some comments mentioning a couple of the sand bags sitting on the outside. I want to stress that this is very dangerous if your hand comes in contact with straight sand especially with a power punch. Armed with this knowledge please do what i did and fell completely around your bag for any sand bags that are sitting too close to the walls. I myself found two that were right up against the wall and could result in a nasty injury. This is shame on everlast because they market this as and everlast "PowerCore" what that essentially means is that the weight of the bags is centered in the core. However this is not the case as i had to unpack mine and repack it setting the sand bags in the center. It will take about an 1hr to 2hrs to repack depending on how knowledgeable you are with packing bags and how far you have to go down, but it is a small investment in not only your safety but in a bag that you intend to own for years to come.QUALITY- 5/5Honestly, you really couldn't ask for a better bag. It really is perfect. Its durable, strong and looks damn pretty! I even raise mine up a little to work on body uppercuts from the philly shell position and it puts a hell of a beating on where the stitching holds together the bottom piece and the side walls. However it has stood up better than most bags mainly because there is a glued under shell that holds it all together. After 12 rounds a day for 5-6 days a week workouts with 12 ounce gloves i have not seen a single tear nor any uneven wear in the stuffing. It really is a good bag. Also i like the material because it delivers that 'snap' sound when you hit the bag just right that you usually only get from expensive leather bags....there's something completely satisfying about that.WRAP UP- 4.5/5Despite its flaws it really is a solid bag and ill tell you why. If i can get a chain included, a dependable easy to hang bag and get it for 30 dollars cheaper than in the store, ill stuff the bag the way i like it stuffed. Hell it even has a hook on the bottom to hook up one of those weights so the bag doesnt swing. Its sturdy, strong dependable and a great looking bag. No fraying on the hooks or anything like ive seen with my last bags. Stop shopping and purchase because this is a great bag.

I'm not sure what the guy was talking about who said the bag felt like concrete. It's stiff and tough, to be sure, but nothing like concrete. I bought it about 3 months ago and give it a bashing 3-4 times a week. The first few times I tried it, I used a pair of MMA gloves. My knuckles were bruised and my hands hurt, mainly from chaffing. Then I put on a pair of light bicycle gloves underneath the MMA gloves and have had no problems since then. The MMA gloves are just a bit too big for my hand and the chaffing was the problem. The "liner" glove fixed that. You need good hand protection. Protection that fits well and doesn't slide around on your knuckles, but that's true of any bag. This bag works well and was priced well. I also like the tag line "Greatness is within." I punch the you-know-what out of this bag and that tag line is an inspiration to keep going.
