I bought two of these in 2019. They have hung outside on our porch ever since and to this day, they’re still working - just like they did when they were new. One of the best outdoor purchases I’ve made.

These lights are very pretty. I bought them in both blue and clear. I was concerned about the lights not working as stated in some reviews. Sure enough one blue one went out completely after about 3 weeks. I contacted the company and they're sending me replacement solar lids for all five that I purchased and told me that more can be purchased by calling them. I'm waiting for the replacement lids now, but feel that lights should be brighter overall. For the price I would just like to know that they're going to last. They're pretty enough that I would like to keep them but may eventually have to replace the lights inside of them with something larger and brighter and hopefully solar powered.Update: I got the five new replacement lids for these lights which was great customer service, but I also found out that these have rechargeable batteries in them, which I didn't realize. Got rechargeable batteries and replaced all the old batteries inside the lids and everything is working great. Love these lights and got great customer service from the seller!

I bought this in October 2019, so it's been about a year and a half. I have an apartment in the Arizona desert that gets southern exposure. The sun is basically a death ray for my patio. Even desert plants burn up - I had a plastic drip tray MELT - so I'm very impressed with the durability of this light. I didn't expect the fairy lights to still work after this long, but they do. There is no fading, cracking, or peeling anywhere. I rinsed it off when it got too dusty and got water inside in the process, but it still works.About the only negative is the fairy lights. Initially when I put this up, they only stayed lit for about an hour and a half. Now, this winter, the sun is in a slightly different position (I didn't used to be able to see the sun set from my patio) and apparently the solar cell is getting a better charge, so it stays lit longer. Not very bright, but as sturdy as this thing is? I'll take it!This thing is heavy glass and metal, save for the plastic around the solar cell. It's heavy enough that strong wind doesn't faze it. Rain is fine. And again, I'm amazed at how well it stands up to the sun. If anything was painted, it would definitely be cracked and peeling by now. But instead, it still looks like new. No rust either, although that isn't usually a problem here anyway.Initially I felt bad spending $40 on a hanging patio light - but given how well it holds up over time, I'm actually pretty happy with the value.

I really like the tear drop appearance of the light. And it is pretty. The problem I have with it is that the blue coating has started to crack (See picture). I received this during the second week of July 2020 and at the time of the review, August 7th, the coating has cracked, not peeling up yet but I am expecting that next. A couple of things that you should know if you purchase this. The first is that the top is removable so you can straighten or arrange the mini led light string inside the way you desire it to be. When I got it, everything was bunched at the top and no lights were toward the bottom. I am still fine tuning that aspect. And second, the heat of the summer will push the top (which as a rubber grommet around it) up and sometimes out of the unit itself. You will need to check that periodically to ensure that the top is in place. Particularly after a hot day and before it rains, otherwise you end up with a glass full of water and it may break the holder you have it hanging from resulting in a broken glass also. Other than that the solar power has worked well and no issues or concerns at the time of this review.

These lights look beautiful and stylish whether or not they are lit up!My only complaint is the molded styrofoam packaging, which is impossible to remove without getting teeny fragments of statically charged styrofoam EVERYWHERE! The packaging is both incredibly annoying to open and not environmental at all. The styrofoam mold was so tightly packaged inside of the box that when I finally forced it out of the box the lantern went flying thru the air and broke a ceramic dish that had been sitting out! The glass lantern was unharmed, however. So the good news is that these lanterns are very tough and should arrive to you undamaged.Once out of the frustrating, incredibly messy styrofoam, the lanterns look gorgeous! I hope they get more in stock soon so that I can purchase more!

I really like these, I bought 2 green and one amber, but I wish I had bought more amber. Like someone commented below, the amber looks blue...well I really wanted the blue, so if you are considering the blue, but it seems to be popular as it is sold out, I would go with amber over green.The cons are, they only light up about 2-3 hours, longer depending on if it is sunny that day.I bought these to hang in my awning after taking down the xmas lights, but awaiting the weather to be warm enough to hang flower baskets. I really like them, they look good during the day, and at night.The photos are a little deceiving on the ad, they are a lot bigger than I expected, which is good! From bottom to top of the lantern, they are almost a foot in length, and about 7-8 inches at the widest part.
