This sharpener was recommended by a good friend and I love it. It isn't complicated and it sharpens my knives better then any other sharpener that I have owned. I am looking forward to using it for a long time.

I have been using these for years they are a must for the new super steels. I put White polishing compound on the back of the leather pouch and use it for a strop. Two for one can't be beat.

Great stone, keep it clean and it will work great, the leather case works great to take the feather off the edge after sharpening.

This item is the second of its kind that I have purchased. The first one I gave to my husband last year as a stocking stuffer. It is small and compact and my husband loved it. He has several knives of varying sizes so it has seen plenty of use. He says it is the best pocket stone he has ever used. One of our daughters has several expensive kitchen knives and ask my husband for a recommendation as to where she might take her knives to be sharpened. After a brief demonstration, she decided this tool needed to be added to her husband's tool box. Hence, my second purchase. I should add that because this is a small, fine stone it should be handled carefully while in use. It produces a very sharp edge.

This is the second time I ordered EZE LAP pocket stones. They have lasted longer than the other retail-store diamond stones. The metal base is more stable. The original ones I ordered had a smooth leather sheath. The newer ones have a fibrous, cloth-like leather sheath. I'm not a fan of the new leather because I use the sheath as a strop to get a fine edged on the knife. Honing oil doesn't work on these sheaths. The product arrives as advertised and is an ideal honing tool. I hope this helps.................
