This probably works great for items at least 3" wide that need turned. Most of mine are less than 2" wide and at least 25" long. They slip off and bunch up tightly because they're so narrow. A simple large safety pin is much faster for me.

This tool makes turning tight things quickly and easily without wearing out yourself and what you are turning! It also helps make your points cleaner, if you trim them properly. Wonderful tool to have on hand!
