Use BT mainly for TV at night. YouTube on nvidia shield using LDAC has issues. APTX drops out and pops/glitches.BTR5 has none of these issue to m ears sounds as good.

I have used many DACS / DAPS over the years. The FiiO BTR7 is an astounding all round device for the price. Ditch your expensive overhyped Bluetooth all in one IEMS / headphones and buy a FiiO BTR7 with with decent over ear passive head phones / IEM's. Plus it works seamlessly as a DAC / sound card for Windows, Mac & Android.

I got this after being hyped from hot good the BTR5 is. With THX amp chip inside and a 4.4mm plug being a more durable 2.5mm balanced solution. The sound between the two is about the same and the battery life is about 30% less. It is also bulkier, heavier, has wireless charging.It's a great product but knowing the BTR5 exists and how they compete, I'd skip this one.It's pretty easy to use over all but it takes forever to turn off as holding the power button is also how you get into the menu.
