Great time saving tool. I use it on my drill press. Surprisingly sturdy and stiff.

This is a nice vise with a X Y axis looks to be identical to the wilton vise for 1/3 the price, just know the the gibs on the slides will need to be tightened and oiled before use if you want it hold accurately awhile drilling. Also check the set screw on the clamping bolt, the vise comes with the tools needed to make all these adjustments.

It is good for small jobs, it is not very stable in certain jobs, like when you do vertical milling, the milling deviates. It fulfills its function but not in precision work.

This product looks like it is well-made! It is very sturdy compared to other similar cross-slide drill press vises in the same price range. However, it will not slide well enough! You really have to put a lot of force to make the handles rotate to push it one way or another. Yes, you can loosen the grip a bit but then the whole thing starts to wobble. If you are not worried about the handles spinning very freely then I suppose it is good. Just doesn't work for me.

This is the best one available. Right price, nicely made.I purchased several alternatives and returned them. Harbor Freight, Amazon.Almost perfect. Better if it had a locking cam-over toggle for travel AND "V" cut threads and a slotted pinch nut to zero out the travel lash. As it is, you need to go one way then take up the square cut thread lash to go the other. It's not a micrometer, it's a cast iron vice for a drill press, so its appropriate.
