I use a 9lb tank, which this holds perfectly. The shoulder straps and front straps to help with support make it very easy to carry around on my back while burning weeds. Well made, and have use several times now with no visible issues.

I just read Joey S. review, and it caused me to decide to write to document a similar experience. I recently bought a second Flame King propane backpack, propane tank and torch. I had bought the identical setup over a year ago. I use the equipment for prescribed fire management. The first set up I bought has been flawless for the past year. I bought an identical setup the end of Jan 2025. The shoulder strap failed the first time in the similar manner as described by Joey. In our case, one of my crew had lifted the backpack, propane cylinder and torch to help another crew member strap it to his back. They got everything in place and adjusted. The strap immediately failed as the load settled on the carriers back. Other than the inconvenience, there was no resulting accident, which was good. As Joey mentioned, just be aware there can be lapses in this products quality control. Inspect it closely before placing into service. Good advice for any piece of equipment. Sadly, I didn't take any pictures but the failure on my unit was very similar to Joey's, so look at his pix. Stay Safe.

I must say I was skeptical at first about the need for a propane cylinder backpack. But after seeing one at my friend’s house, I decided to give it a go. Boy am I happy! The stitching on this is strong and sturdy. I tested it on both my 5 Lb and 10 Lb cylinders that I had filled up just recently. The way they provide padding makes it so comfortable to carry around, you barely feel the cylinder. You don’t even realize you are carrying a full propane tank!The 3 metal carabiners for extra safety and stability are a huge added bonus. They clip on easily and ensure that the propane cylinder is not going anywhere. Straps around the cylinder are top notch and the adjustable waist belt is a great fit as well. I am happy to say all my skepticism is gone and I would definitely recommend this as a quality purchase.

Pulling weeds out of the rocks that partially surround out pond is definitely not high on the favorite chores list. This propane tank and torch make much quicker work of keeping this maintained. I'm hoping with the increased burning of weeds that they may decrease over time.

I bought this to hold a 10 pound propane tank and it does.I don’t like the plastic buckles on the waist belt as they broke while setting down the tank. I replaced them with a metal raptor buckle belt set and now it functions perfectly.

I bought this to burn my fence wood black in the Japanese style instead of painting it. After it arrived the city stained the whole fence black for free. I used this torch to burn weeds but it is harder than you think. I also use it to light my Big green egg charcoal, which works great. This is well made and a great thing to have around. Loud! And fun to use.
