The socket that you plug the device under test into has low retention force due to use of thin gauge metal for the socket contacts. For two prong devices, the cord of the device you are testing falls out far enough that it loses connection and opens the circuit. To get a current measurement, you have to hold the plug of the two wire device you are testing in by hand. This is unacceptable. The voltage test points are nice and the device seems solid otherwise, but it does not perform its primary function well. I recommend the Klein line splitter. It lacks the voltage test points, but the test socket has enough retention force to keep two prong plugs from falling out.

Got this to test amp draws on most house hold appliances and on items that had sheathed conductors. Very easy to use, wide enough for a clamp meter and has 1x and 10x readings. Would recommend.

It performed as advertised. It 's two coil arrangement is a nice features as is the ports to allow the use of a voltmeter. The only comment I could pass on is that the added coil makes it longer and less stable in an outlet. I was using it with a variac which negated the length issue for me. I would recommend this product.

This is the perfect device for those who have difficulty in reading voltage from a child proof outlet. Plug this in and you can read both voltage and get and accurate amperes on a device while in use.

this splitter is a nearly foolproof tool to use in reading amperage in an AC circuit, and it also lets you probe into it to verify the voltage

Well made perfect for trouble shooting loaves and draw, test load calc for circuits. Needs a small soft case though, but I love it.

Does exactly what I needed. I can check and monitor voltage and amperage with a meter such as 3000FC. Perfect for measureing output of a generator or ups.
