This thing is very cheap, the hoses on the one I got were kinked with holes in them from the beginning, basically worthless in my humble opinion

Came with a warning that the plastic/rubber has a cancer warning in the state of California USA! Decided to not use this in our pond and dispose at the local refuse centre. Could be nonsense but who knows!

It worked to pump water although it didn't prime easily 2 of 3 times I tried it. Also, I didn't recognize that the pump is to set up just to start a siphon. I would have preferred a double action pump that pumped in each direction of the stroke to double the speed. It did the job of de-swamping my boat slowly.

I used it a couple of times to siphon gasoline. As other have reported in the reviews, after just a few uses it doesn't draw a siphon any more, so it doesn't work at all. The hoses and fittings get stiff in just a few months, I assume as the plasticizer wears off.

We have a planter that has a siphon for drainage. This little hand pump lets me get the water flowing easily.This thing has a plug at the top near the pump handle; I think it's supposed to be a one-way port for a squirt of oil. When it arrived, this plug was loose, cracked, no seal, no pump pressure. I used a gob of waterproof silicone to seal it in place. Now pump works well enough. Headsup: that budget tool place with initials H F has these under their own brand, much lower cost. That's what I'll buy next time.

Works great, pumps good volume. Had about 6 litres of old garbage farm gas in my quad that i needed out and this pump exceeded my expectations. Took maybe two minutes to get it out. Only problem I had was the exit hose blew off, shooting gas all over me. Reattached and kept a close eye on it but it didn't budge so I'm thinking I didn't have it on all the way initially or the hose kinked. Hose isn't the best but for the price, works fine. Definitely recommend.

Simple to use, not particularly fast. When I was just outside of Albuquerque and my truck ran out of gas as I raced from the aliens and I had to siphon gas from a car where the aliens had abducted the two guys for strange alien medical procedures it took me so long the aliens were almost able To use their physic ability to find me until I was able blank out my thoughts . I was well into California before I ran out of gas again

So far I"ve used it twice and it works surprisly well! I was able to remove the oil from my mower in less than one minute, my mower doesn't have a drain plug, so the complete job took less than three minutes. I've read where some would rather tilt the mower to drain it, for me spending a $10 or so for this was well worth it. To clean it I filled up a milk jug with soapy water and ran that thru the pump and hoses then a clean jug full to rinse. It took longer to fill the jug than it did to pump it out. So far a great purchase and if it quit working today I'd order another one for the next oil change.

I have been able to suck 3 quarts of transmission fluid in a jiffy through the dipstick hole.I recently had my oil pan replaced in a caravan and the mechanic used an aftermarket pan.The drain hole is 1" above the bottom of the pan leaving old oil to be mixed with new till I used the pump and cleared most of it out.Update 3 weeks laterI almost fully flushed out my transmission fluid,3 quarts at a time sparing me a pan drop(3 quarts x5times)and to suck out remaining fluid out of a poorly designed doorman oil pan along with a rear differential fill.It does its job but the hoses have become soft after the transmission fluid had been pumped through it a few times and sat in the hose till next use.Because of the lines are soft the hose easily kinks.I am not sure if I am to blame of,so I'll leave the product with 5 stars.I can not say the pump payed for itself because it has saved me money over and over again,so it has payed for itself many times over.

I used this transfer pump to change the rear differential fluid in my Honda CRV and it worked like a charm! I needed to pump the new fluid into the differential after draining it and this pump made it very easy to do.The pump is easy to set up out of the package. I just needed to slip the plastic hoses onto the inlet and outlet ports and slide a lock fitting on each of them. The process was made easier with a helper to pump while I held the plastic tube in the differential. The tubes tend to stay in a curved position which makes it difficult to keep them in the fluid. However, after they were out of the package for a while they did begin to straighten out. It moved the oil fairly quickly but I don't know about longer term durability. Other reviewers have reported problems with the internal gasket which I did not experience. I will update this review after using the pump for a longer time.
