test this first with whatever fluid you are wanting to transfer. mine had water in the pump body, so it initially pumped that out. since i was going to use it to change transmission oil, having that initial water going up into the transmission would have been disasterous long term.for best results, make sure the intake line is fully primed and if possible, the source tank/bottle is above the pump. gravity is your friend.as others have noted, it's slow, esp on more viscous fluids. i wouldn't try honey but it beats having to manually pump hydraulic fluid under a car.i do like the size. i can strap it to the source container and not have something else dangling around. i also extended the wires and added a switch so i can turn it on and off from under the car.recommend as an inexpensive, occassional use fluid transfer pump. curious to see how it stands up long term.

I bought this pump to flush the transmission fluid on my Tahoe. This little pump was easy to set up and pumped about 6 quarts of fluid in less than 5 minutes. Very happy with the performance and was easy to clean up after.

I wanted this to pump transmission fluid into my truck which can be a bit of a pain. This pump is cheaply made and the cables meant to connect it to a 12v battery are short and seem like they would be easy to break. I mounted it on a small piece of wood, added a switch and better cables to connect it. It was slower than advertised but worked fine. It beat using a bottle pump or using my Mightyvac pump which is a pain to clean and stands too tall to use under the car.

I was surprised how tiny this pump is, but it worked great for my purpose — sucking all the fuel out of my 36 gallon diesel truck fuel tank. However, be aware of one thing: the pump arrives with the hoses attached and no instructions. At first the pump would not suck anything at all. I was getting ready to return it to Amazon when I decided to remove the hoses and inspect the outlets. It turns out there was a rubber plug inserted into the outlet port, initially unseen as the hose came attached. I pried out the plug, tried it again, and the pump immediately worked perfectly. A simple note included in the box instructing buyers to remove the port plugs would have saved me a little frustration. Nevertheless, I am very happy with this product.

Product worked great to remove oil from a transfer case, first had to figure out to remove the 2 (TWO) plugs in the pump area, or it will not work correctly. They are black and are easy to miss. Once had plugs removed, pump worked like a charm. Will need a 12V battery to se as the cords are only about 24" long. Does not come with any instructions, so I would suggest removing the plugs, install the hoses and try to pump some water first. Cheers!

This pump is cheap Chinese garbage. I could not get the pump to prime and therefore could not use it to extract the oil from my outboard engines. Good thing I brought my manual extractor for the job. The wire leads and alligators are too short and of poor quality. I had to re rig to make them long enough to reach prior to going down to the boat. It was wasted time and materials as the pump did not work.
