I recently got this wireless remote control to see if it is compatible with my new Canon R50V camera. Since the product description didn't specifically mention the R50V, I was curious to see how well it would work. I'm pleased to report that the pairing process was simple, and all the basic remote functions operate without any issues on my camera.Beyond just taking photos, I was particularly interested in testing the zoom feature. My R50V came with a lens that has electronic zoom, and I found that the zoom buttons on this remote respond smoothly and accurately, allowing for precise adjustments. The other advertised functions, like the 2-second timer – which works just as expected – and the remote focusing, also performed reliably. The remote has a small OLED screen, but it's surprisingly clear and easy to read the different settings. That's definitely a nice touch.Overall, I'm quite satisfied with this purchase. The fact that it's fully compatible with my Canon R50V, even though it wasn't specifically listed, is a real plus. If you happen to have an R50V and are looking for a wireless remote, I'd certainly recommend giving this one a look. It does the job well.

Works great for my A7III and A7RV. Both were able to pair quickly and the link maintains for all subsequent shoots. I don't feel like there's any noticeable delay or lag although a wired connection will always be slightly more immediate. I really like that this remote has a rechargeable battery, I've had a few remotes that sit in a junk pile since I don't want to hunt around for a battery. I mainly use this remote for focus stacking work and its pretty fantastic. I can't think of any real knock against this considering it functions so similarly to the standard Sony remote. The screen is the main reason to pick this remote over the Sony branded version, it can really help ensure you have a good connection if used at distance. While the Sony remote has more buttons, I much prefer this model since the photo button is physically distinct from the other, less used, buttons. Using this remote helps keep me from having to use my phone as a remote which can often be a very frustrating experience. I look forward to using this for some of my astrophotography stuff, I'll return to this review if it has any issues with colder, hotter or wetter climates. So far so good.

Be aware this doesn't work with an a6000. I did a search on info for this device and it said it was supported so I tried it. Unfortunately Bluetooth is the only connection method so it won't work with my camera.Construction wise this feels solid and top quality, buttons have good action, with a nice little LCD display screen. This feels like a high quality, solid little remote, I would give it a shot if your camera supports Bluetooth.

I was able to pair this with both my SONY FX-30 and my A6700. It worked fine for both, but only can control zoom when paired with a SONY native lens (Power Zoom). Other than that detail this worked fine for both camera bodies. I particularly like the fact that this is rechargable and does not require swapping out batteres. You can charge while home or in the studio with an appropriate USB charger or via a power bank when out in the field. The addition of the OLED screen is a bonus as it provides some feedback on the state (pairing) of your remote/camera.

The range is solid especially if youre using a wide lens during a group photo. The screen struggles in sunlight. I would not use this remove when its raining. Its small and light and the plastic feels a bit finicky. Easy to pair with my A7CR. Buttons are solid and responsive when youre around 18 feet from your camera. For the price its not a bad buy especially if you want to travel light

As long as it's compatible with your camera and firmware, bluetooth camera remotes are much more convenient than wired or radio/line-of-sight remotes. This is so easy to fit in your pocket, which is convenient when you set your shutter mode to a 2-second delay, and you don't need a whole separate receiver to plug into your camera. The camera is the receiver. This particular remote is laid out great for photography, with a shutter button right in the middle that's set apart and bigger than all the others. It also has a dedicated pairing button, so that's a lot more intuitive than holding two unrelated buttons for 7 seconds (like with the other bluetooth remote). It was easy to connect when I put my Sony a7iv in bluetooth pairing mode.Of course, this one also has a screen. Not entirely necessary, but it is very nice to see what the remote thinks it's doing! The last specific feature I'll point out is the USB-C charging (and firmware update) port. I appreciate this, even though I worry about the service life of electronics with integrated batteries. Even with light use, I don't expect this kind of thing to last more than a few years, so I don't imagine the battery to be the limiting factor.A price of around $30 is fantastic for this, so even if it doesn't last a long time, the price per year still seems like it'll be a great deal. Lesser versions are being sold for the same price!

This is a pretty basic remote for a Sony camera, but it’s been perfect for my setup. I’m using it with an FX-30 mounted to a tripod and teleprompter, and it works flawlessly for controlling focus and zoom. It’s easy to use — just turn it on and make your adjustments. I also tested it with an EV-10, and it worked great there, too.One bit of advice: connecting the device is simple, as long as you follow the instructions included in the box. It’s a little confusing at first — “scanning” mode isn’t looking for new devices; it’s looking for previously paired ones. You’ll need to put both the camera and the remote into pairing mode to get it connected.Overall, it’s a great device, and I’m really happy with it!
