This small compact pump has been a game changer and is so much safer than traditional gas cans. Generators are great but keeping them filled is not fun. I was constantly either over filling them or somehow pouring gas all down the side of my generator. The new gas cans are the worst for me! This pump makes life so much easier that it’s not much of a chore at all. For starters you don’t have to lift the can and balance it on your leg. It conveniently sits right beside your generator on the ground. It only takes 4 AA batteries that last surprisingly long. My favorite part is the sensor on the nozzle. You simply clip it on the gas tank you are filling and it automatically stops when the generator is full. It took me a long time to trust it, but it has never overfilled once. It went from a neat contraption to a won’t go camping without it item. I can’t say enough good things about it. It’s more convenient, safer, and very user friendly. My hands don’t even smell like gas when I’m done!

Look at the pictures. It gets stuck at that position, and I could not use enough force to push it in. The suction dongle is a little larger than the orifice on my 5 gallon gas can. Too bad I cannot use this item. Maybe it will work for you...

This worked perfectly for getting the unused gas out of my generator, was worried about leaving it sitting inside or having to waste the gas running it for no reason. Looking forward to getting to use it come spring-time for filling up my lawn mower!

Wodli Fuel Transfer Pump with Auto-Stop Sensor, 42inch Hose. This little pump works great. No more having to hold the gas can perfect to put it in the mower or boat. I was hoping this would fit the "racing style cans that I got from rural king but it does not. It did fit two of my other normal cans perfect. remember to take the batteries out so they don't corrode.

The transfer pump works fine, but after shutting it off, the flow of gas slows down, but it doesn’t stop- seems like it siphons gas from the can with pump turned off. If you are not prepared for this, it could spill gas all over. Had to unscrew the pump from the gas can to stop the flow
