Screws were difficult to cut, even with shears that are made for cutting metal. The screws also seemed to be a tad too big for the other piece they are supposed to fit into. Actually damaged thread on other end trying to make the screw work. As a result, unable to finish installing the lock, unable to return it now that it is damaged. Waste of time and money.

I like how durable this lock feels ,,especially for the price.Their's not much or anything that I disliked about the lock.I had a locksmith put it on for me which was put on a new metal door.Their were no issues whatsoever! So a month in and I like my purchase of this lock.

Sorry to say if you are experiencing organized harassment/stalking. Your violators will likely have or can easily get a key for this lock. Mine was compromised July 26, 2024, allowing the complete hacking and violation of my desktop computer. And other sensitive intellectual data.The lock itself for the price is actually a 5-STAR lock but will only stop the average criminal not criminals with resources that are invested to violate citizens properties and rights.

This lock is "Universal" so you have to cut the lock turning mechanism to the proper size. The instructions are detailed and actually come with a stencil, I found the stencil to be very helpful. Good luck..

I ordered 2 of these and some items are missing. One unit has the mounting hardware while the other looks like it’s been installed and has been returned. I tested the keys for its working function and it is rough and finicky. I do not think it is worth installing at all.

Fourth and final update. This company has gone above and beyond. The replacement arrived today despite the covid problems (among others) affecting both our countries. Meanwhile, as I bought and installed a second Sumbin lock some time ago after the problem with the first, I can advise that it works very well indeed. I highly recommend it. Third update: Sumbin has stood behind their product. The lock itself seems overall of good quality, and excellent value. As mentioned in my review below, mine had an issue with key removal when in the locked position. Sumbin tells me they are in the process of sending a replacement. I don't expect perfection in every product from a vendor, and understand that at times issue will arise. In those (hopefully rare) instances, the willingness of the seller to rectify the situation speaks loudly to the integrity of both them and their product. Given their efforts to make things right, I am happy to return to my original four-star rating. I believe you will be satisfied with this product should you choose to purchase it.Second Update: I regret the need to give even one star. The seller gave lip service to the issue below, asking for more feedback. I gave it promptly and accurately. Their response was "We are regret for thatWe will try to improve it in the furture (sic)." So, not only did they send a defective lock, they wasted my time with a "feel-good follow-up" and do not care to correct their error, leaving the customer to absorb the cost of the vendor's failure. Lest anyone think I am being unfair, please take a look at the hundreds of reviews I have done hoping to benefit Amazon customers. I believe you will find them to be honest and accurate.Update: I installed this lock in a seldom used basement door a couple of months ago and locked and unlocked it. I thought all was well. Today I used that door and tied to lock it from outside. I discovered that the key cannot be removed when the lock is in the locked position! This makes it absolutely useless, as I must leave the key in (anyone with a functioning hand could then unlock it), or take the key out leaving the door unlocked. What a disappointment and complete waste of time and money!Here is my original 4 star review...I believe it illustrates my fairness as a reviewer:For the price, great. After installing I tested the key and it was not smooth at all. After lubricating, however, it was acceptable. Overall, I am pleased with this purchase.

I was pleased with this product, but a little disappointed that it wasn't as heavy or sturdy as my last one - which has lasted more than 30 years. However, it is doing the job, and I'm happy.
