I needed to take the USB output from the CD player to the TV input Video with Audio RCA- 5, and this works.

Bought in July, 2023. Worked great until about Jan 9th when it stopped sending a signal to the TV. I troubleshooted and isolated the issue here. Every now a then I get zig zag lines or a green patch on the TV. I've changed DirecTV receivers, cables and still nothing.

1. Needs external power at a variable source somewhere between 5V and 12V. E.g. has to try different blocks to get a reliable signal.2. Oscillates between signal types, refresh rates, etc. using a chip that is programmed to be triggered by a specific voltage coming in and a specific signal coming back. Which means you can visually witness it get the correct signal and then cycle to a different non-working signal due to the software program not picking that up.3. NO POWER SWITCH. Have to plug and unplug.4. Translated instructions make little to no sense.Hey, I'm not surprised for the price but FYI, this is a "you get what you pay for" review.

Received about 27 Jun 2023. Worked well until about 23 Aug. then it would not power on. It no longer had a red power light. I tired it on a different tv, different power connectors, etc. As I was outside of the 30 day Amazon return I messaged the company twice and have not received any response. I did order a replacement the same day it went out as it was needed for my work. I think the equipment itself is good, however, I think I just got a unit that failed early. Still waiting for response from the company. Will update when and if the company responds.Update: 30 Aug 2023. Company responded and we agreed on a solution. Again, I think the product is good and the company response was good, as a result I updated the rating from 3 to 5. Recommend product and compant

When I first got this, like most others, I was looking to hook a streaming stick to an older spare tv. It worked great upon first use but over time, the picture started getting grainy and eventually almost unwatchable. Now the unit doesn't even get power and doesn't work at all about a year after purchase. DO NOT BUY!

This product does not work for me. I have it connected to the YPbPr inputs on my Sony Trinitron Vega XBR cathode ray tube tv. I used a Roku stick 4K and cycled through the descaler and it didn’t work completely and the screen was split. It looked like the old descrambler hot boxes used to try and steal cable tv back in the day. I read this product does not work with HDCP signals above 1.4 and the 4K stick is either HDCP 2.2 or 2.3. So I then bought a Roku Express which uses HDCP 1.4 compliance. The picture was almost clear, but it was still scrambled a bit and the YPbPr screen was still split in two. I cycled through the resolution settings to get it to 480p and still didn’t work. I was really hoping this product would work and I’m disappointed. I hate to throw this tv away because it still works as good as new. They were built like tanks. But tech has surpassed it and rendered it almost useless for today. If anyone has any answers that would be appreciated. I don’t want to throw this product out either.
