This kit worked really well and made hanging my 70lb beam mates a lot easier. Just had to drill additional holes to match my studs in the wall

Used this bracket for wall mounting a custom hardwood shelf and caribou antlers. Heavy duty, works reasonably well for this application. After carefully measuring multiple times, though, the rods still didn't fit and I spent the next hour augering out the holes and then pounding the bracket into the wood with a mallet.Really appreciated the drill bit and steel hole support but seems like a better option would be to provide a metal bracket with the right spacing for both holes, otherwise the holes will likely never be perfectly spaced.

We used this to put up our fire place mantel that my husband made by hand. The wood was solid and weighed about 50 pounds. This product came with all the screws and the drill bit which my husband loved and found useful. The mantel is still up and holding strong with no issue! The instructions were easy to follow! They give you everything you need to complete the project. The only issue was getting the holes lined up perfectly and he had to use alot of force to get the shelf to the wall which could be human error, not product issue. But worth the money! Would purchase again. Loved that the special drill bit came with it! As promised, delivered fast! 5 stars! And still no issues after several months on the wall. Very sturdy!

The bracket has faulty design for installation to wall studs. The total length of the bracket is 16" but that does not allow for stud installation because the screw holes are at 12, " so only one end of the bracket can be mounted to a stud. Of course one can use the anchor screws but these are less sturdy than studs.

Bought this bracket for mounting a mantle. Loved that it was a kit to take any guess work out of hole placement, etc. Worth the money.
