Ive had it for a week now and it works amazing

I opened the shipping box to find…an open box, torn with greasy fingerprints all over it. Some of the packaging inside the box was torn or missing. Back it went!

Installed and is working great.

Installed this on our front door. As with all of these, the USB port is on the outside of the unit. Why? Put the USB on the inside and run a wire. It's a security issue and an instant one star off.It looks good though. It functions well, the app works well, the keypad is OK, and the door tags work. The key is wonky. It looks like an Sch****e key but it's shorter and the slots don't match.The reason for another star off is the thumb print reader. I've had multiple times where I tried to use it and it fails, them makes all kinds of alarm noises and permanently locks it unless you have the key or someone unlocks it from the inside. Super annoying and I gave up trying.

I have an older door so had to cut, but only a couple of notches rather than a bigger hole. Works really well. The fingerprint sensor does tend to fail in cold weather

I installed everything, I noticed that the handle bolt had a plastic piece where the pin from the handle goes to the bolt, the following morning went to open the door and I eared a crack, at the point the door would not open, I was jailed inside my own house. I had to remove the inside handle to see that the plastic thing was crack. Tried several ways to get the door to open to no avail, I had to destroy the handle bolt in order to be able to get it out of there and finally opened the door. I live in Quebec, Canada and I guess - 20 C is not good for the plastic thing. I am gonna go to a locksmith to see if he can come up with a solution, if not I will be looking for a new door handle set. IMO the handle bolt is so damaged that I don't think it qualifies for a refund, hence I have not contacted the seller

Great lock and and good customer service I ordered the wrong lock and Install it only to realize that it not not the one with wifi , I call the customer service and within 24 hour my problem was solve.

This Hornbill smart lock arrived at the ideal time, not just because my old lock was getting cranky about letting us inside, but because I've been hosting my elderly mother which has resulted in a lot of deliveries and hauling heaps of goods indoors (and happily not needing to fish around for keys!).Installation was quite easy. I had my drill and hole saw handy, but didn't need it, as it was a relatively direct replacement for an older, non-electronic large handle and deadbolt. The interior hardware will be similar to what presently exists in your door if you already have a deadbolt.Appearance wise, this was a huge upgrade, as my old set, while being high quality, had seen lots of entries and exits over the years, and it was ready for replacement. Looks elegant, and has enough curves to coordinate with my curved glass front door, but is also streamlined enough to feel organic to my straighter roofline.Function-wise, you have a lot of options here! If you're not as sleep-deprived as me, and can remember a code, you have easy entry via code.Or, if you forget the code, you can hop onto your phone and permit entry via the app, or just use your old-school key.Also allows a card entry (make your home office official by having to wear a badge to get in your front door!).And if your hands are full and you'd rather not off-load the strategic stack of groceries in your arms, your fingerprint will do the trick as well - how cool is that?!Once installed, very easy to set up via the app. Zero issues connecting once installed.Lots of control here for knowing who's coming and going, especially if you designate different codes for different people. You'll know for sure when the dog-walker came by, and if they drink too much of your best wine while they're walking Fido, you can easily revoke access from your phone.Would be ideal for anyone running a vacation rental, especially with the ability to make real-time changes to access.Zero issues so far in several months of use.Initially I was a little hesitant to start the installation, as I assumed (incorrectly) it would require a lot more brain power than it actually did, but it was really quite intuitive to set up once the hardware was installed.Door shuts securely and I feel a lot safer now with this solid lock than with my old "a screwdriver might open it" deadbolt.I also appreciate that if anything happens with my elderly mother while I'm at work, I can remotely unlock the door to get supplies or help into my mother or my pets without needing to race home for anything not requiring stitches, imaging, or a defibrillator.Overall, I'm just amazed that we can have this technology these days. I'd been casually shopping for a replacement door handle and lock for probably a decade now. Ten years ago, I would have just been buying a quality keyed lock and handle at this price (and now I'm glad I wasn't so in love with any new hardware that I did!). The amazing advances in technology between then and now, as well as affordability of that technology, is just incredible, and ideal to facilitate the complex lives we live nowadays.Definitely recommend and will be upgrading my other locks with the Hornbill line of hardware and software.

I rate this smart lock set as 4 stars because the design is stylish, and I am thrilled with the features and performance so far. This keyless lock set can lock/unlock in many ways and offers remote access, advanced security features and easy installation. The versatility means that I have a significantly lower chance of being locked out and that I can choose the most convenient method for my needs. The remote access feature is especially nice for granting temporary access and adding a Wi-Fi gateway gives me control from anywhere. This level of control and monitoring adds an extra layer of security and convenience, and it’s nice that the lock seems to be strong and durable to withstand the elements.
