1. It will be better to fill tank with distilled water only. Hard water degrades ALL compatible humidifier filters and yellows them prematurely. it is better to replace the water daily and wash the filter mesh twice or three times per month. It is recommended to replace your filter every 6 months.
2. Essential oils should not be used in the tank of any humidifier – the oils can damage the humidifier.
3. When the humidifier is kept unused, the filter mesh has to be cleaned, dried up, and safely kept.

Returned because of the instructions which were (1) incredibly small, could barely make out the words even with a magnifying glass, and (2) were not in the Latin alphabet, not sure what language it was.

Very quiet, which is what I wanted. All others that claim to be quiet aren't. It sits on my nightstand with almost no sound. It shuts off automatically if water gets used up.

It is really disappointing. Filter has glues on and does not look proper. Plastic is flimsy and doesn’t fit properly, and there is no difference in humidity after turning it on. I tried to return it but it costs almost the same amount as the price(>$60) of this humidifier to return it, as it has to ship to China. Regret my purchase.

You dont have the replacement filters for this unit. The closest I could find is in the US for $44 American who’s almost the price if a new unit. Is there anywhere that’s a little cheaper? The unit works well

My office is pretty dry and I'm having to use eye drops a lot to combat dry eyes. I got this to help combat that. Its maybe a 14x10' office. I have a hygrometer that bounces up and down through out the day and I think maybe the average reads a little higher with this thing going and maybe I feel a little bit better, but its not a huge change. I left it on overnight and came back to an empty humidifier, so its definitely putting water into the air and if I put my hygrometer on top of the device, it reads 60% humidity, when my office runs 30-40%, generally. So...it does work, but not great. If you live up North and are used to dry air and just want to add a little humidity, it will probably work great. Obviously evaporation happens faster/better when you start out with air that's more dry to begin with. If, like me, you live in Florida and you're used to 50-100% humidity and your office lives at half the humidity you've become acclimatized to, this probably isn't the solution to create a big change in humidity. Max, its raising my office by 5%, but I think some of that is just random variation that would have happened anyway due to the AC kicking on and off.

UPDATE: Canopy sent me a new tank for free, so that’s pretty nice. I will keep this little one for the living room, it’s a great simple humidifier.I just got this little guy but I’m already pretty happy about it. For some reason it’s hard to find a good evaporative humidifier which is weird considering it’s basically just a fan on top of a container of water. This one is definitely comparable to Canopy at less than half the price. I have a Canopy that broke when I dropped the water tank - just split in half diagonally. I emailed but no word yet on whether I can replace just the tank. So I got this one because I live in the desert and I can feel it when I sleep without humidification.Straight out of the box it seems just as good as Canopy: about the same water capacity, looks like you could easily put the parts (except the fan motor, of course) in the dishwasher. I even think the generic filters I bought for the canopy (bc theirs are expensive) will fit this. The only thing you don’t have is the scent pad but honestly I didn’t use them bc you can’t buy individual scents, you have to buy them in groups of three…Bonus with this model, the screen over the fan easily unlocks and comes off for cleaning the fan - you can’t get into the canopy fan without unscrewing it in a way it doesn’t seem designed for and it definitely collects dust.I’ll probably buy another one of these for the living room.

The metal sensors immediately started rusting. I’d like to take them off, but then I’m afraid it won’t go on thinking there isn’t any water. Otherwise, it’s a great humidifier! Perfect size for bedroom.

This little baby really moves a full tank of water in a day! As mentioned by others, Very quickly the probes are starting to corrode, so I will update if the unit fails. It has a fan and I run it on high. It's not as noisy as other evaporative humidifiers I've had. Filters are easy to change, and this unit is incredibly easy to clean. I was desperate to get away from the white dust all over my furniture and causing me lung problems with my old ultrasonic Homemedics unit. I am very happy with this one. So much that I bought a second one. This works better than my ultrasonic. I know people don't want the filters and potential mold. I am putting bacteriostatic liquid in mine to cut down on that. I am feeling so much better since getting away from the white dust!! I think that dust is toxic to our lungs!!!

I needed something small to place near some wooden musical instruments during the winter, and I won't risk the residue damage an ultrasonic humidifier often causes. This does work, but it has some big cons.Pro:it works and won't leave ultrasonic residue (white dust)Cons:*it's overpriced for such a small, simple machine*needs filling at least twice a day if running continuous, and will not last an entire night*the filters are hard to get - I ordered from this listing, and they were delayed twice*filters are also overpricedI have not yet experienced the rust that others have mentioned. And it does have a fill like in the center of the filter basket, so you do need to pay attention. It's pretty obvious not to overfill it and not to just pour water through the fan system, unlike some reviewers complained about - that's just user folly.

A bit about my humidifier experiences.- I hate the feeling of cool mist, like it just makes the carpet wet if it’s up high enough to work.- love warm steam, but have little kids. Also have had 2 vicks thermometers short out our outlets, and have had 3 or so of the tall upright style ones crack and leak. This one is it. It’s evaporative, so honestly one of the only few cons is that you can’t immediately perceive that it’s working. But I could tell the difference and so could my plants after the first night. The only other con is it’s a bit noisy, but it’s a nice fan/white kind of noise most people can sleep with.Overall I think this is just as good, if not better than the other trendy evaporative humidifier that I sadly spent $150 on. Will definitely buy more for the other rooms in my house!
