I revived a 2013 macbook pro with this battery. I can't say how long it will last but it's still working fine after 6 months.

Got this battery for my Mid 2009 MacBook Pro, and it works with no issues. Easy to install, and now my laptop holds a charge like it should. Just make sure to fully cycle the battery once before regular use. Way cheaper than replacing the whole MacBook.

I bought this to revive my 2012 Macbook Pro. I also updated the ram to 16gb, and added a 250 GB SSD as well-once all that was done I upgraded to Mac OS Ventura and now it's able to be used for school!! Woohoo!!

I knew my battery needed replacing, but since I gave it to mom when I got a newer one, I was not aware of just how bad it was. She called me in to show me that the TouchPad was kind of weird, not lying quite flat. I checked it out and told her to keep an eye on it. Only a few days later she got me again and had me look at it. The TouchPad was tilted and the computer had trouble closing all of the way. I knew there was definitely something wrong. So I took off the back of the Macbook and the battery was so swollen that it broke one of the screws holding it in and white stuff was starting to come through cracks on it. I'll just say we were VERY lucky! (Bad things can happen when the battery swells... check the iFixit site.)The installation was so easy. The only tools needed were old lady glasses and a very small Phillips head screwdriver, same one used to remove the back from computer. The value was excellent because it gave new life to an old Mac. The battery obviously fit bc it was the correct one. All in all it took me about 5 minutes to do it.The company sent instructions as well, emphasizing the need to calibrate the new battery. Go to their site and follow the directions especially the troubleshooting if you'reabout to pull your hair out like I was. I had an issue with my Mac recognizing the new battery and did the MS (or something sounding like that) reset thing and now it works perfectly! Best of luck to you!

iFixit rocks. Similar batteries are cheaper, but frankly, are unlikely to come with the same CONFIDENCE in the product and the people who sell it. iFixit knows how to install THIS PRODUCT, and they set you up for success. Well-designed packaging that protects while making it easy to unpack. Just make sure you have the right screwdrivers... and be careful not to lose the tiny screws that hold the case together. But once it's open, replacement is a cinch. Carefully follow the iFixit walkthrough online. Easy peasy.

When placed the order, I just received the battery but didn't receive the tools that are mentioned in the description like Spudger, iFixit Precision Bit Driver, Precision 4 mm Bits: Pentalobe P6, Phillips #00, Tri-point Y0.I was expecting these to be shipped along with the battery, so I thought I will have the tools to change the battery.Edit:iFixit did a 2 day air Fedex shipping for the tools and I have installed the battery and it is working perfect with my macbook Pro.
