Bought this product less than 1 year ago. Worked OK until I had to replace the batteries. When batteries were replaced, the date and time would no longer automatically update. That functionality is gone. I emailed the website listed on the product itself to inquire what to do. There has been no response. Also, the information on screen is a little hard to read unless you touch the top of the device. My recommendation to you . . . AVOID buying this junk. Not money well spent. I hope Amazon makes inquiries to the seller and removes this product from the site.

Looked for something that would give me accurate readings from a long distance, over 150 feet and this is it.

12/15/24 Received and setup the thermometer works as it should. Others that bought this did not know how long a set of batteries will last one person reported 8 months and still working. I will award 5 stars if all goes well and batteries last a year I will get back to you on this.

seems to work fine but my AC unit seems to think differently, the two are never at the same temp and it seems maybe to read 2 or 3 degrees lower inside and a few higher on the outside one. I'll get a mercury thermometer to compare and update at another time

5 stars BUT many users would prefer a PDF of the manual to the paper version provided. The vendor's name, "Daytitior" appears nowhere on the manual. The weather station picturedis likewise unlabelled and is squarer than the packaged model (which DOES have the vendor'sname). The AMIR model BJ8240B does have an online PDF manual and pictures the correctweather station. It costs 30 cents more than the Daytitor, but at this writing has a 5% discountcoupon. Note the minimum temperature reported is 14F = -10C.
