If you're looking for a lock for your pocket door that allows you to lock it from both sides, this is the product for you (but buy two of them). We installed these for a "secret door" between our kids rooms and put one on each side to allow them to keep the door locked on each end. The finish carpenter we hired had never seen one of these so it took some time to figure out, but rest assured they work beautifully.

Used as a lock on the entry side. Drilled a hole through it and used small pad lock. Will keep the honest peopl honest. Worked as intended. Built well with plenty of strength. Need some minor skills and tools to install. Always mount at the solid core of the door. Be careful on a hollow-core door. Iām a carpenter so was fairly easy for myself but a non-carpenter might need to be a little cautious. I would purchase again for the right application.

First off, the item comes in a clear plastic bag with a small sticker on it. no instructions, template or anything. i guess there is not too many ways to install this thing, but i would still expect some instructions. my install went pretty well until i broke a screw. I pre-drilled all the holes and still broke one of the cheep screws.Otherwise, a pretty decent alternative to the standard lock on a pocket door.

Not perfect but far better than what is available at HD.People can forgot it is locked and force the door into the wall. But you can get it back out.

Had been looking for YEARS for a way to lock my double pocket doors into my TV room. The cats would paw at the bottom of the doors and open them. It is a room that I try to keep cat-free for allergy reasons and the little buggers kept getting in! The original pocket door handles required a cutout of the solid wood doors that left me with few choices for replacements that would latch to each other in the center. Instead, I've mounted two of these locks, one per door, high up on the outer sides. Because of my wide pocket/gap in the wall (clearance to door is about 1/2" each side of the doors) I had to angle the stops so that a corner projects into the space for the bolts to catch. Once I figured that out, it worked great! Because they are mounted above eye level, you don't notice them. Rather cheaply made, but look good and work just fine. That's all I can ask for and love that I finally solved my problem.

I love this door lock. It is much better than the limited other types on the market. The only problem is that it is not obvious that it is a door lock as it is flush when not being used and it is on the inside of the door rather than the traditional spot on the outside.. I little education of guests takes care of that. You do have to be careful to place it as close tot he strike plate as possible. The door will open until the pivot plate hits the strike plate. This could allow the door to open slightly if the two are too far apart.

Easy to install and looks great. I would highly recommend this latch. We have several pocket doors and I have tried the traditional locks. Traditional locks you must have the door perfectly aligned for the lock to work which over time is frustrating. With this lock our grandchildren can easily lock and unlock the door. You can watch a YouTube video to see just how easy it is to install.

Works great. Some pocket door locks are too fussy to use. This one is so easy and it looks great. You only see it on the inside of the bathroom and there is no hardware needed on the door jamb.
