The instructions could be better. It's made to use with a screen monitor. So to use this controller independently the blue wire needs full voltage from the red to turn on box.both are outdated in the set of 5 wires. Red black blue green and yellow. That should help a lot of folks who do what I did

I bought this controller for a 2000w motor kit I had. The one that came with the kit was garbage. This one is perfect. Throttle is nice and smooth now. It was exactly what I needed. None of em EVER come with decent instructions lol I've dealt with other controllers before so it wasn't hard figuring it out. Only had it a couple days so far but it works perfectly and I don't do this kinda stuff on a regular basis or anything. Try this out if you need a good controller for your ebike.
