Non costa poco ma la qualità si paga. Usata per intagli nel legno di pero selvatico impossibile non notare la grande qualità, affonda facilmente eseguendo un taglio netto.

Nada más llegar, empecé a usarla. No hace falta darle un repaso al filo, corta mejor que una pfeil (que era más cara), y sobre un arce complicado.

Además de buen acero y filo, la gubia tiene un mango muy cómodo con una parte plana que permite sentir en la mano el ángulo en que estamos usando la herramienta. La virola que protege la parte trasera se nota firme. El extremo que sobresale de la virola es redondeado y resiste bien el uso moderado de una maza. La gubia llegó prontamente a Argentina bien embalada. De allí en más el correo estatal Argentino se tomó casi un mes en entregarla. Fuera de ese detalle local (bastante usual) la gubia es muy recomendable.

Heavy duty gouge great for dense, hard woods. I have been carving for about a year. Hard maple, up to Osage orange. This heavy duty gouge let’s me get those big chucks out right away. Only complaint is the bevel could be la little steeper. Came razor sharp, polished and ready to use right out of the box. Will definitely buy more.

Two Cherries Gouges come sharp and ready to use. They come so sharp intact that cutting with them requires very little pressure for good results, which will relieve the pressure on your wrists. The price is worth it - looking forward to getting the 1-1/2 inch model.

This is the finest gouge I own. It takes a razor sharp edge and I have carved hard maple and black walnut with ease. The edge holds up for hours after a few passes over a whet stone. It has already been my tool of choice for two bowls and two maple chair seats.
