Featuring a birch wood front plate that provides a bright but voluminous tone, the new Adjustable Snare Cajon has a durable MDF shell with a textured seating surface to prevent slippage. Snare tension can be adjusted with a single knob on the back of the Cajon that is easily accessible with the right hand in a performance setting. "LP's new Adjustable Snare Cajon allows players to change the response of the instrument instantly while performing," said Victor Filonovich, Director of Product for Latin Percussion.

I was glad the box was dented and the product was damaged. It looked like a blemish on a edge, until I touched it and got a splinter in my finger. It didn't look much like the web photos and actually pretty ugly. No woodgrain on the sides, just dull and dark. Got to schlep it back to UPS - will buy replacement at local store where I an see how it really looks and make certain I don't get injured.

I’m not a percussionist, but I’m a music major in college and this cajon had everything I wanted. Tbf, there’s not much to expect. It’s a box with a snare setting basically. But it had a really good tone, easy and fast snare switch, felt nice.I had to sell it sadly. I was going to use it for a concert, but found someone else who owned one, and I had other things I needed the money for.If I ever need one for sure, I’ll buy this one again. Kinda felt bad to return cause it’s even just satisfying to have.

After a lot of research & comparison, bought this to replace my older, worn adjustable snare cajon. I dont regret it a bit! Crisp, clear sounds; nice bass & pop; and love the simplicity of applying snare in a flash. Nothing negative to say 🙂

As expected from Latin Percussion . There are a lot of companies out there making this instrument so I really wasn't sure which way to go. I went with LP mainly because I have bought other instruments from them congas, cow bells etc. Once again they have proven that they still make quality instruments at fair prices. I'm so glad I got the model with the easy adjustable snare. Don't know why you wouldn't want an adjustable it wasn't that much more money i can't imagine not having it.

First, I would like to bring to your attention that the title of this item is incorrect. This is a Latin Percussion Adjustable Snare Cajon as represented by the picture. This is NOT a Djembe.I am very satisfied with the overall sound of this cajon. The adjustable snare makes it possible to play a wide range of tones. This feature allows for musical diversity, and creativity. Some top of the line cajons will sound better, however for the price this is a great sounding instrument. I have seen professional musicians using cajons that do not sound any better than this one. I am particularly impressed with the snare sound of this cajon. The bass is adequate and sounds great when played through a mic. Remember when reading negative reviews that the reviewer may be having problems due to incorrect technique or a limited knowledge of the instrument.

I love the aspire! I play with a three piece with guitars and bass only but, we mic the box and with adjustable snare this sounds awsome and really helps keep time and adds a lot. I also purchased the Gibraltar chain drive kick pedal, great combination.
