It can be used as soon as it is plugged in. There is no need to ask someone to modify the circuit. The 25-foot cable length is also sufficient. I hang it on the wall of the garage and there is no pressure to pull it outside the car. It supports BEV and PHEV with J1772 interface, and can be charged with an adapter like Tesla, and has good compatibility. The charging speed is very fast, much faster than the original 120V slow charger. It can be fully charged in one night, which can fully meet the needs of daily commuting and temporary travel. It also supports adjustable current and timed delay functions. I can set it according to the power consumption at home. For example, it will automatically start charging when the electricity price is cheap in the middle of the night, which is very energy-saving and worry-free. The shell is sturdy and has a waterproof design. It can be placed indoors or outdoors in the rain. The display interface is intuitive, and the charging status, current, and voltage are all clear at a glance. The overall size is moderate, which is considered to be a relatively compact portable model. It is also very convenient to take it out for camping or changing parking spaces.

This is a relatively basic EVSE but has all the features most people would need unless you want complete automation. The LCD screen gives you a fairly large display clearly indicating the current. It has a very long charging cable allowing you to get around to most vehicles charging ports. The indicator light gives you a clear indication from a long distance if the device is charging and/or working properly. You can set a delay for off-peak charging if your utility has time-of-use rates. The charging rate seems to be pretty consistent. Never quite the full 40A all the time, but most of the time which could just be the vehicle limiting it. I have already seen this unit on sale for under $200 which makes it a great value for a true level 2 EVSE.

The charging speed is quite impressive. My electric car can be fully charged overnight, which fully meets the needs of daily commuting and travel. The NEMA 14-50P plug is highly universal. There is a socket installed at home, so it can be used by plugging it in. There is almost no additional operation required for installation. The 25-foot cable length is also very practical. It can be easily connected to both the front and rear charging ports. The charger itself is very solidly made, and the display and buttons are clear and intuitive. The adjustable current and timing functions are very considerate. For example, I can set it to start charging in the middle of the night when the electricity rate is cheap, which not only saves money but is also more environmentally friendly.

I use this charger on a Chevy Bolt at home, utilizing the NEMA 14-50 outlet in the garage. The adjustable amperage was great in managing how much current it was drawing with other things needing power, and this meant there was no chance of tripping breakers during overnight charging. The cable reached the car on the driveway with no problem, and it was not stretched. I was able to control when the charging happened, which worked well in order to take advantage of lower off-peak utility rates. The charger has a pretty clear display screen that provides live charging information. The charger feels pretty solid and is relatively lightweight if it needs to be moved around.

I've used an adapter to plug this into a 14-30 outlet to make sure this turns on, but otherwise I haven't actually gotten to use this yet. This is primarily because I only have a 14-30 outlet where it can reach the car and no Airbnb I've been to since getting it has any sort of charging outlets. So that's big downside compared to my other EVdance charger, which I keep with me all the time, it doesn't come with or appear to work with 120v.That being said, as I have my Tesla wall charger on a 50A breaker, this EVdance charger (which is way easier to install) would be pretty much just as fast as charging at a third of the cost. Absolutely worth it over the Tesla charger.I'll update once I get to make full use of this.
